Good question. I wonder what the size limits are for a picture, because if they're big enough, you could assemble multiple pics into one and attach that.

Quite true Adel_50, the devs would want players to experience the progression of the game for themselves, not cheat it.
I suggest the best thing is to roleplay it. Think of what your avatar would write in that situation, their struggles,… -
Note that the contents added to a time capsule are screened by Unknown Worlds before they are seeded into other players' worlds. Helps avoid dick pics and other such silliness.

My choice of the word "waste" may have been too heavy-handed, but what I meant was that game development involves setting priorities and channeling time & resources towards them. Maybe there are some people who have been eagerl… -

Yup, and that's about the only thing that's going to give us any reason to play a second or third time.
I mean, after the first time through the storyline, why would you play it again? Same story, same locations. It's n… -

Agree times 1000.
Good writing is hard. Good humorous writing is even harder, especially when it's a line you hear repeatedly, i.e. every time you start over. But I thought Unknown Worlds did a great job in adding ironi… -
A top map is great for showing one specific landscape or level, e.g. the basic sea bottom as you would see it if you just removed the water. But it doesn't show the caves etc that lie below that surface. And if you create another top map for a speci…

Biggest challenge with a map is how to represent the 3D nature of the world to the player in a way that is intuitive and easy to understand instead of confusing.
Not easy especially given that Subnautica's 3D spaces and connections are q… -

At one point the captain's code was listed as 1903 in the English localization file. I attempted to enter it but discovered that the keypad had no zero on it. Arrrgh!in codes Comment by Klinn October 2017

It's reefbacks all the way down. -
Actually, I think I spoke too soon.
When I loaded my game that has the noisy beacon above my base to continue playing, it was quiet (thankfully). But when I placed another beacon elsewhere, it started beeping. Argh. So I'm not sure exact… -

The biggest change is restructuring the game's start up menu(s) to allow for multiple saves.
Right now we have multiple game slots, but loading any of those games always takes you to the last save point for that game. I get the f… -
Thanks for the debug command, I'll have to remember that for next time!
What you're describing is basically a Quick Save / Quick Load system that many games have, and yes, I think it would be a great addition to Subnautica too. -

But as DrownedOut mentioned, sometimes you do something and prefer *not* to save that.

The original poster did, about midway through this thread. Called it "Yellyshroom" but we knew what he meant.

Yeah, I don't think anyone expected it to be so successful so quickly. Still a great deal supporting some great charities though.

I believe there's a certain amount of randomness in the locations for these and other resources, so maybe you just happened to hit an unfortunate combination.

Yup, somebody starting three threads about the same subject in the space of 11 minutes? Definitely a good indicator that they shouldn't be taken seriously.

From what I understand, the devs have automated tools to help them sort through the wealth of F8 reports, so I'm sure anything with profanity in it is flushed directly out to sea.

Yes, I believe you're right, it's just a spawning glitch that zeroes the coordinates while placing the creature.

Happened to me while wearing the PRAWN. I just kept falling and falling and falling.

Yup. I'm playing in experimental mode, so my game is a few smaller updates beyond that.
