We pushed an additional change out to all clients a few minutes ago. This only included the updated navmesh cache files and the pre-compiled shaders cache files. In order to fix the specular lighting bug, we had to make some core tweaks to the shade…

I can say with confidence Vulkan nor DX12 will never be implemented for NS2. To do so would be a _massive_ undertaking and require rewriting the entire rendering pipeline from scratch. Also, the resultant net-gains would not be as sign…

Our current plans are to flip the switch on Hive2 (go-live) when B310 is released. That is tentatively slated for next Friday (10/7). When Hive2 is live, there will be an accompanying blog post explaining the differences and improvements.

It's also worth noting there are memory leaks in the DX11 Rendering, so using it will introduce instability factors to the client. Although, it does tend to run faster (roughly 8-10%) than DX9. So, it really comes down to how long …@Chumtoadslayer I believe you have the wrong forums, as what you're describing is a feature found in Subnautica and not Natural Selection 2.Yes, technically it is supported. However, it's possible not all the UI elements will scale correctly to that resolution. Also, you will take a significant performance impact running at that high a resolution (likely in the neighborhood of ~48% slow…Oh god....not "Infested Marines" ...anything but that.

However, there is a simple solution that lets you keep your base install "clean" while gaining all the benefits of mod…@.trixXx. Sounds interesting. I strongly recommend you jump on discord and visit the Modders channel. There is a lot of collective knowledge on there and modders are helpful towards eac…Some good stuff here guys. No promises on implementing any of it (or the exact ideas posted here), but I've made note of it and will look into this. Some of the ideas posted here are similar to things I've already been thinking about. There are some…(Quote) It does not. But before I get to that, just want to briefly explain the other half of Crush.
It does not affect the Type of damage done. It just increases the damage d…(Quote)
Crush has a modal behavior to it so it isn't too powerful. When damaging players, the amount of Armor consumed is increased up to 15%. This doesn't change the early game (killing Armor0 marine in two bites). The changelog was updat…(Quote)

@sureallife Please run the TechSupport.exe file in the NS2 directory. Upload the zip file from that here. I'm quite curious to get more information on your availabl…This is a topic I am quite interested in doing. And when/if I can get to it; it will most likely use Steam Groups (specifically the Abbreviation available in the Group's admin page), and allow for a toggle in the General options to display it.First off, what is this russian.dll? I have not heard of this. If the game is being modified, then it is _not_ safe to assume it is functioning as intended.
Secondly, if you can get both the server and client into a "vanilla" state, then…(Quote)
Glad you're enjoying it. It's still incomplete, as upgrade chambers will be added as well. Plus, I want to tweak/improve some of it's visual. You can see where it's headed in the design/mock-up in Update 296 Released! Comment by McGlaspie April 2016
