It wouldn't be solely the gorge's ability to drop support structs. Khams would still have the ability to drop/manage full structures.

I like the idea very much, and it would certainly add more to the already dynamic strategy. It would increase the skill ceiling for khammanders significantly.
The only thing that worries me is that khams could end up only using tried-and-true… -

I think that pres would be the way to go as well. It would be hard to gather all the pres necessary for a full support structure, but the high price would prevent spam and make gorges think a little bit before barfing out structure… -
Gorges should be able to place cysts one at a time for 1 pres each.
I can't tell you the number of times I've had to sit by a disconnected harvester and heal it until the kham listens to me and recysts.
Allow gorges to place cysts would … -
I think that the first option would be a good idea because often I only have a short amount of time to play, so I want to be able to hop in to the action right away.
I'm also for a slower paced gamemode, but there are some inherent probl… -

It's all about spamming G and running away (faster than the skulks, hopefully).

You can say goodbye to any marine base when that happens. Comms would have to start spreading out structures as much as possible to avoid onosplosion. But then structures would be more vulnerable to skulks and vent gorges, etc. Lot… -

I think that this would be a good way to discourage lasso spam from players: If you lasso a lifeform like an onos by your self or with too few others, the onos will drag you around, dealing constant damage to you for either a set a… -

@Dghelneshi The devs never worked around the problem, either.

The old dev video that showed full view rotation didn't show enough of the sideways and upsidedown footage for viewers to realize that it didn't work correctly. -

It wouldn't be terribly hard to add a option that allows you to switch between no tilt, the slight tilt that is in the game now, and full rotation.
The real challenge is changing the input so that everything works rela… -
The camera is the easy part. The inputs from the mouse (pitching, yawing) and keyboard (strafing) are absolute, so everything gets messed up when the camera rotates or strafes.
For example, when you press 'A' on the ground, you move in a… -

I'm interested in modding and have wanted to do this for a while. I might give it a crack and see if I can modify the camera rotation (there's already a slight one on walls) so that it flips 90 degrees on walls. The ceiling would be harder to do sin…

bump? No? I was hoping to get SOME kind of response here...

I totally agree. East Wing was always a cataclysm of alien and marine fighting. Now it seems too marine heavy with the open hallways.
Just thinking about all this makes me nostalgic. I personally liked the old Docking b… -

Thanks. I'm here all day.

Also, I love how this post started out with comm eject trolls and now everyone is talking about keybinds

I thought that people used the scroll wheel for jumping (a la counterstrike). It might not be a bad idea, since it's not used very much anyways (unless you really hate pressing the number keys above WASD for weapon switching). -

Considering this is the playtesting thread, you might have better luck with that question in the Tech Support section or in the General area. OSX support has been brought up before ( in Join the NS2 Playtest Team - Natural Selection 2 Comment by Renoh August 2013 -

When you say "PST", do you mean Pacific Daylight Time (currently active)? Or actual Pacific Standard Time? -
