I've completely reinstalled the game and i still get a black screen on start. Now i'm getting worried. Any ideas on what i can try?

My situation is different but no less bad; i get a black screen just starting the game. Can see the mouse-pointer but nothing else. Cleaning out the workshop folder doesn't work. Only had NS2+ and NSL mod activated.
