All we need is a few minutes worth of someone using ADHD’s Get Shit On hitsounds... This game would become an instant hit.

Mechanics that promote static and defensive behavior make this game boring and unfun. For example, phasegates are useful but people love to phase once and then camp. Advantages turn into stalemates, the game slows down, and then blah. This game is a…

The large onos sitting in the shadows is a good sign, I think. -
So if I am using 144hz with Gsync, but my fps tend to fluctuate below the refresh rate, is it better for me to keep using Gsync, use “maxfps” instead, or some combination of the two?

The only part I don't agree with:

Most powerful lifeform in the game? Yes. Invincible? No. Every other lifeform has to be aware of when to enter and leave a room, and can't accomplish everything alone. The onos is no exception … -

A gorge has a built a sneaky tunnel in preparation for a base rush. Calls for "everyone" to get in the tunnel are made. The need for overwhelming numbers is understood in this scenario. Why is the same concept not applied throughou… -
I think a lot of it has to do with so many players not understanding the "ebb and flow" of a game of ns2 well enough/at all. I feel like I experience so many concede votes at times when our team *should* still be very much in the game, but the major…

About 40-45% marine accuracy seems to be the new 35%
So I just set my toggle to 42% and it's fine -

Please stop with the "OMG your what's wrong with the world" statements. It's like reading a copy-paste insult from a Facebook argument. You have different ideas of how to play the game, ok. It's not "toxic" and "elitist" to say gorge tunnel rushes a…

+1 to this part, especially. I remember when I started truly trying to break down and analyze my own game play and the game play of those much better. I was always thinking "what I am doing, what are THEY doing, and how can I do th… -

I haven't spoken for or against healthbars (or much at all, really), as I'm kind of indifferent towards them. That's not to say that I don't see why some people might have concerns with them. My comment above was just meant as a "h… -
As fade I don't feel as though engagements have become significantly harder. I don't blink into a room and get focused down immediately, unable to dodge crackshot marines. However, I have noticed that when my health is already low-ish I tend to get …

The gist of the idea is blink to the side/past the marine and swipe them as you do, then make a quick 180 and blink past them again + swipe and repeat. When done well the marine doesn't have time to react/is very hard pressed to ke… -

I'm so used to NS2+ features being commonplace that I feel like they've always been there, and I can't imagine the game without them now. Thanks for all the work you'… -
...You die in any other game and immediately shout "WTF NO MEDS??!?!?"

What's really annoying is when a game has been going on for 25+ minutes with lots of back and forth, and then when one team FINALLY starts getting the upper… -
...when you are over half the map away from an armory, you call for ammo in the middle of a fight, and the comm says "I dropped you ammo at the armory".

The other day while on Docking I was walking a rookie through marine commanding. There were maybe 7 - 8 people each team and basically everyone on my team was new. I didn't have a mic, so not only was I the one that had to run and build/kill everyth…

I think they recently changed the rule to no vets in the field, but there might be some exceptions. You're right though, the times that you do get to run around are great for fine tuning skills like aiming, jumping, etc.

I think that increasing the time that the rookie tag lasts as well as creating rookie-specific servers, with mentors, are both good ideas. As Blarney mentioned, DFA Noobs Only is one such server that really is rookie friendly. What allows it work th…
