The frame rate won't be fixed by an external HDD, it only decreases the loading screens, it does NOT speed up how the RAM reads it.

Unfortunately no, I'm not familiar with PC menus and commands at all, and I'm trying to figure out how to select options. Will keep you posted. In the meantime you should add me on Xbox live seeing as we have frequent interactions … -

Console command "noshadows" (LB + RB + A)
Also building in a biome where not a lot spawns, such as blood kelp, helps tremendously. You can also use "entreset" in the console command to reset all entities except terrain. Use only when you… -
This is why I love the blood kelp trench -

Subnautica on Xbox 1 has NEVER run at 60 fps. You started at 30 and you're probably hovering between 10-19 like most of us. -
I use the Aurora as a reference point as well as beacons I place under the floating island and the mountains to the north

Best way: empty out the items you can equip into a locker or something, then re add them to your inventory in the order you want them on your hot bar -

No, you went south. The floating islands are basically small underwear islands that are floating because of the same pink organism underneith it. They're at approx. 200 meters down. There's a map of the biomes on the official wiki -

Hey so I was wondering if it's possible to put out a "minor" update to improve performance slightly to kind of tie us over and make the game more playable. A couple ideas that'll help the frame rate:
1) limit the amount… -
Did you try the floating islands in the wreck? (Same place as some Cyclops engine fragments)

Does it boost fps?

Soooooo any guesses as to when the performance update will be released? Place your bets below.

Just started a base in the mushroom forest near the Aurora. Easy access to the crash zone, koosh zone, and the kelp forest. Only downside is that it's too deep for solar panels (right now I'm working on about a dozen bioreactors each with an indoor …

Edit: after 7 hours of gameplay and a complex base I'm hovering between 9 and 15 FPS. It's bad, but it's playable nonetheless. -
While the frame rate is not *completely* fixed, I have noticed that it is in fact better than what it was before the bones update. I average anywhere from 16-24, depending on where I am and what I'm doing. Is it perfect, no. But it's better than the…
