Bring Wonga and teflon back 2019

I sort of forgot this game and you people existed.

Weren't you supposed to be gone already?

Well, that's not entirely correct as there is no matchmaking and shuffle isn't always used. A lot of the matches recorded in Hive don't have equal teams. The 50% winrate scenario would only happen if the system always decided who p… -

I don't think you really know what you're talking about. You go upgrades first for the very purpose of cutting down the need to drop medpacks and make your marines survive more engagements. It's the cheaper and more economical opti… -

This is exactly the opposite.
Upgrade costs are fixed, but with more marines you get more bang for your buck. If you have 10 marines on the field, a 20res investment will give each of them +40 effective HP that they can… -

If you can't afford 1 tres (a maximum needed to kill an RT) in exchange for an alien harvester, you've already lost. If your comm is not willing to drop you ammo, you've already lost and there's no point going after harvesters.
(Quote)
This is the most important thing. Forget your axe. Killing RTs is all about positioning, and ammo is practically free. Standing next to the harvester with axe in hand is a free kill for a defending skulk.(Quote)
How do you click the disagree button twice? Well-implemented matchmaking in a game with a large playerbase is the best thing since sliced bread.
I didn't know anyone actually used the awkward minimap. I have my C key pressed down so much that it's actually more worn than my W key on my old keyboard.(Quote)
You don't debunk data by saying "I feel..." or "In my experience..." and throwing around numbers that you are just trying to recall to prove your point. This is a problem too many people on this forum and life in general have.
I can understand the thinking here; skulk hitboxes were enlargened to make marine shooting feel better, and now skulk HP has been buffed to bring the balance back to what it was before (arguably).
I just don't understand why the same was…(Quote)
This comment wasn't directed towards the specific changes that have happened, only that "changes need to happen" is a cop-out and not a real argument. Judge patches by their fails and merits, not by some vague blanket statement tha…(Quote)
This is an absolute non-reason for horrible changes. Think again.@IronHorse
I'm not going to respond to each of your points, since all of them seem to lack the understanding of how changes like these affect the gamepla…I ran into Anzestral in a random Overwatch game the other day. At least he's still alive.(Quote)
Isn't it obvious? How can you have been a member of this community for so long and still ask questions like this?
For players like me (and I like to think there are many within the core population of active NS2 players)…(Quote)
The complaint has always been how top and bottom players play on the same servers. I don't know where you're getting your 'everyone' from, but I find it hard to believe that anyone would want to fix this by making the game easier a…You can argue semantics all you want, but Bicsum and IronHorse seem to be the only two ones who think of skill ceiling in a different way. Most here seem to agree that skill ceiling = that point in skill where you can no longer improve your performa…(Quote)
They have worked amazingly well so far. NS2 has had by far the best hitboxes I've ever seen in a game. The few gripes people have had have been with hitreg, not hitboxes.
The fact that prior to B305 the devs actually thought that any existing problem could be fixed by making aliens easier to hit is pretty solid evidence on how little the dev team knows how the game actually works and only care about how…(Quote)
Refer to the second sentence of my previous post. The fact that you don't understand the graphs, don't understand how to make them, don't understand how to use them, don't understand what information they contain and don't understand the mathematics behind the system doesn't mean that they're not t…Don't start this again.@Sherlock
Sounds like you just got past the charm of novelty. Most of the things you describe are simply the things you start paying attention to after yo…Aliens are easy at lower skill levels. Marines dominate higher skill levels.Comp? There is no comp. The negative side affects anyone who knows more than the very basics.I love these conversations. One guy posts a massive post composed of statistical data and sound conclusions while the other goes "nope, can't agree because my own intuition along with this one single number I just pulled out of my arse contradicts y…The devs are delusional if they think that there is no meaningful difference between servers with 51 and 149 or 151 and 249 latencies. I don't buy the explanation either; geographically distant (Germany vs. Chicago) servers consistently had a differ…(Quote)
Most really competent players would agree that marine mobility is too high in NS2, especially in the early game. Sprint has always been a feature that NS2 never needed.
