This is a really good idea. Maybe the lifepod's damage damaged and corrupted some of the databanks in the fabricator, so many blueprints are missing, and the blueprints that survived are likely very damaged. You could find a functional databank in a…

Lithium ion batteries would be really cool. However, I think better powercells would have to be made with lead and sulfuric acid (you find sulfuric acid by crafting 3 deep shrooms into it), very similar to a car battery.

I suggested this in a thread a while ago. The sonic eel. It hides in plain sight in medium depth waters, with black and dark blue coloring that helps to hide it. It sneaks up behind its prey before screeching loudly, emitting an incredibly loud, dis…

I was thinking more of a cutscene before the pod fell to the planet. I already made a post about this that got no attention... Well, the character starts off waking up in the Aurora, and his PDA downloads the day's task, which is to repair the Seamo…

Yes, I love using depleted uranium as a paperweight. Great idea! -
Jelly Angler: An organism that lives in large colonies, forming large mats of pink jellyfish heads on the surface (which you may safely walk on, but not build on). All these jellies have their heads on the surface, but, they form a dense jungle of g…

Well, it seems that the story is being developed to have a rescue in it. Or atleast an attempted one. I got a message on my communicator (I was in the experimental build for the PRAWN update). It was a trade ship responding to the distress signal th…

You don't need the MFR at all. You can build in corridors. That's what I did. Then I made my Seamoth and went over to the floater island and scanned the MFR.

Or, instead of banging on the door and you feeling like a complete arse for letting him or her die, they get violently crushed in the doorway to the l… -
Maybe eventually the entire planet could be made. Remember, Subnautica is on an ocean planet, so, eventually you'd have to come back around. I've seen this mechanic done several times in video games, such as in Starbound and Civ 5, and I'd imagine i…

I thought the opening sequence for Co-op would be two people climbing into the lifepod, since they can support two people each. A random one climbs in… -
Well, I mean, that makes sense for game mechanics, and would be great. If you ignore the story. However, it makes absolutely no sense in terms of story. If the habitat builder was made for survival by one of the biggest companies in the 3rd millenni…

@Nautical_Nick
That wouldn't make much sense. Think about it, the bases are dilapidated and nothing works. If the metal walls on the bases themselves have … -
You could also, oh I don't know... Make the Alien containment at the end of a hallway or just design your base with the alien containment in mind?

@ElMonstro
Well, maybe it could be a special sort of glass. Much stronger than enameled glass. Maybe a super strong plexiglass that you find the raw materials … -

Someone else explained this but,The survivors of the Degasi stripped it down for its Titanium, leaving the skeleton. The skeleton could be found still, but there wouldn't be much other than MAYBE a PDA or two and maybe bits of …Yeah, docking to the top of the moonpool would be amazing. Like, there was a catwalk and stuff so you could get up and down.I had this in another thread thinking it was this one. Oh well, same topic. Though I'd love for it to be added to the list. It's incredibly unique.

Also, I have an idea. A very unique one.
Parasitic fungus. Don't have a name for it yet: It's a fungal infection that infects m…Icebergs floating around and forcing to navigate around them would be cool. Ooooh... Maybe you could dig up the ice and put it into the fabricator to make small amounts of filtered water. Since, ya know, polar ice is fresh but slightly dirty.oh god imagine trying to navigate that beast through the safe shallows...I named it the Explorer but then I changed it to The Wanderer. Kept it ever since.I love Scuba's ideas. Also, earthquakes and underwater landslides. For example, an earthquake could shift around some biomes and terrain, cause landslides and underwater landslides, potentially wreaking havoc on bases and reefs, and possibly opening…Put a spoiler warning on that stuff about the sea emperor and dragon... And also I think those ideas are cool. Also, maybe a nuclear powered engine that runs on LOTS of reactor cores? Can undergo meltdown if the Cyclops gets too damaged.Could you potentially dock the Cyclops to it...? Because you can never have enough submarine.

Alsooo, could there be a multipurpose room or two where you could build in the sub just like in a base? For example, you could build a w…More ideasss...
Tredicipus: A small yet vicious octopus of sorts. It's also incredibly curious. It looks a lot like an octopus here on Earth, but it has 13 long, slender, and very pointy tentacles. The ends rival the strength of the stal…Sonic Eel (Not Sonic the Hedgehog): A predatory eel that lives in medium depth waters, feeding on fish about half its size or smaller. Could be about 7 meters long and half a meter thick, and has a dark blue top and black bottom. However it has a he…That is amazing. This would be even better in multiplayer. Maybe in singleplayer you could have AI control everything that needs to be controlled other than piloting, but when multiplayer is added, people could crew this beast of a vessel.
