Ok, i did intend to let this post lie for a while and see if a fix is posted in a few weeks but Ironhorse thinks i am being unreasonable so i will bite.

You guys sold to me a game that was at the time of purchase and still is according to the Steam store page compatable with Windows XP.Thank god there is only about 2% of Vista users but i am horrified so many use 8.1, my god man, its spreading quicker than Ebola.I am happy at present to give the guys some more time to sort this out.
What i do not accept is the usual "OS is old, its your own fault" line or "nobody is getting paid" crap, it does not fly at all.Good that McGlaspie is looking into this so respect where it is due but i was told a simalar thing weeks ago by Ironhorse and so far the game is still broken so i dont know how much faith i have that this can be fixed to be honest as its already bee…If you look on the Steam store page for NS2 right now you will see it is still sold as supporting XP.
This is false as it is not working for XP for at least the past 2 months, this is a fact.

I have lost count of how many times a patch has broken this game in some way but not being able to even boot the game up (again and again) because of a patch and then being told:

Not played the game in a good while but i fired it up (or tried) about a month ago to see how things had changed ect and had the "black screen, wont launch" problem.

Thanks for the update, nice to know your actually getting somewhere with this, been feeling like you just gave up.It really is not fixed, i can run a little longer before the game crashes if i enable texture streaming in the options menu but it is about as far away from fixed as could be.
They improved the rubber banding in the latest build for sure but t…Has this been fixed yet and when are we getting the patch, its been over a month since Reinforced and i am still suffering with this bug infested build, any progress ?If i run on lowest settings with texture streaming enabled i can game for 30-45 minutes on 257 before failed to allocate crap but, without texture streaming 5-10 minutes before the crash.
I still get the pathetic freezing for a second or two t…I have played for 2-3 hours now since 257 and only had one "failed to allocate" crash so a thank you is in order for getting it running a little more stable and also reducing the rubber banding.

Same issue, trying a few things to try and sort it out, will post back if i can fix, hoping its just the servers not updated yet.

I was finding it amusing too, more so with some 64 bit systems having the same out of memory errors as 32 bit.
