its a good idea
and if its too difficult to add, this can be added easily 2 different ways:
1) passing 2 vars to av shader
2) simply display 2 icons when aliens press J -
you can also avoid the pay2win trap completely by just having skins to buy with earned ingame money

in fact you could probably also offload the "hive vision" team/parasite outlines into a shader as well, and that could then easily be customized to be differentiated between friend/enemy/teammate/etc and could then be faded based on distance/etc

fun fact: people calling other people "toxic" are always the cause of most problems
