In case it matters I was playing with Steam Controller and Vive.

Subnautica did not recognize this as crash, but froze completely and Windows eventually killed it.
Experimental, build 56880.
Compressed log, containing stack trace and all that jazz: in Crashing launching or playing Subnautica? Follow these steps to make a good crash support post! Comment by zds November 2017 -

Reproducing this: on the first go after game restart they work OK. Now, if you exit steering more and the vehicle and then come back, the cameras will eventually get tilted. Not always on the first exit-enter cycle, but often also that.

Screenshots from Experimental build 56753.
I'm holding my head level in these; the tilt comes from the game.
in Cyclop bottom camera is oriented in random direction Comment by zds November 2017 -
This bug still exists. The outside cameras are oriented fine on the first go, but when you exit control mode and come back, the directions go more and more wonky. Up is not up and down is not down, making it really hard to keep yourself oriented.
At least on Experimental version the health and oxygen dials are now visible, that's a definite improvement. For my first 30 playing hours I didn't even know you could see health from anything else than cracks in the mask...
Icon bar for…This in general is a mixed bag. I like how Subnautica lacks training wheels: it really is an open world and you need to figure it all out yourself, with some help from the life pod messages and scanner rooms.
But this does mean it's some…Before I got me Seamoth, I often used Seaglider even inside the Aurora fragments. You can advance in higher speed and the built-in light is useful. Also, if you are far enough from Aurora wreck, you can switch to the rebreather mask (or whatever it …I've noticed Seaglider and Mobile Vehicle Bay shards have been moved up lately, ie. you can find them on shallower locations and outside the Aurora fragments on sea floor.(Quote)
Thanks!
And yes, it would. I often drop beacons to places I find important but cannot inspect further because I am not properly equipped right now. These places tend to be too dangerous for me wanting to save and hang a…(Quote)
I'm seen this one, too! Only once or twice, tho. I had to do an U-turn, as I didn't want to try what happens if the scenery eventually loads and I'm inside the model...Another crash. Vive, Steam Controller, Experimental version, build 56549.

The Sea Moth has been there now for something like ten gameplay hours and it's still sitting inside the island, headlights bathing the trees. I've been everywhere, docked to bases etc and no change in the situation.Yeah. I could also just use SteamVR screenshots, as those are retained regardless of save status. I just didn't know the screenshots get deleted, so I thought taking ingame shots was enough. My system has 24GB of memory, GeForce GTX 1080 and only good SSDs for storage, so there really is no valid excuse for late loading of scenery. You could keep almost the whole world in memory at once.I had screenshots of all three spots, but apparently the game does not store screenshots if you don't save. And with only one saveslot saving when stuck is really not an option.
So you're lying in the bed you made.I did and it works a lot better now. Thanks!Build 56549.A crash report, Experimental version, build 56549.
I was exploring deep caves, dropped a beacon to know where to come back and started moving out in my Sea Moth far enough to see how it got named and then the game crashed.
Th…Build is 56208.I'm running experimental version (because of VR), build 56208.Screenshot of the situation: https://imgur.com/tKfKuLZ
The health "bar" could also be somewhere in the suit, visible by turning the head. Or just tint the whole screen reddish or B/W when death approaches like many games do.(Quote)
Word.
Before the mystic game logic lag added in the Ghost update the performance in VR was just fine at least with plain GTX 1080. No one in their right mind builds a VR rig with GPU slower than GTX 1070, so the reasona…It's an old save. I have 70+ hours invested in it, I'm going to throw the game out of window rather than start from scratch.I'm running on two SSDs, no spinning disks at all. That's the odd thing - the hardware does not have any immediate weak spots. I even have 24G of memory.Dxdiag: https://pastebin.com/YJhQU4yRDoes this mean I need to go through wrecks I have previously already cleared?I have never played a shooter that would be terrifying or scary, especially not in a way Subnautica is. Wolfensteins, Dooms, Quakes, Half-lifes etc register below 1 in scariness meter if Subtaunica in VR is 10. In those games you are not helpless an…
