THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME. I'm watching it right now. I suggest you do the same.

I think part of what is making this movie so good is that it's telling a story.. And it has the freedom of an R rating to tell it in full, as well as parallel to an authentic WW2 setting. Really enjoying this.

I was going to see in theaters, never got around to. It did look awesome.
i'm on guard duty, and can't go anywhere much less out to the movies. so i resort to devilish and shameless methods for movie watching.

U liekz know teh producar? I mean, how else could we "acquire" movies?
On another note, I'll go "acquire" it now.
Nope....
At any rate, amazing film. The best I've watched recently, bar none.
<!--QuoteBegin-them+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(them)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin--> It really didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. I was roped in by the ads that said something along the lines of "it'll change how you look at the world".
Nope....<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I think I got lucky. I didn't watch any of the ads, and had no expectations other than it being a good movie. It more than exceeded those.
This was one of the most disturbing and saddest movies I've ever seen <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> Good movie besides that...
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What makes a disturbing and sad movie a "Bad" movie. From what I hear, it's a VERY good movie at BEING a very bad movie... how does that make it a bad movie?
I think I've confused myself.
In any case. I am REALLY looking forward to watching this in the theatre, but I am having a hell of a time making the time to do so.
I saw this about 2 weeks ago. I hadn't really heard anything about it at all. I loved it. Made me think of Alice in wonderland... but with nazis.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm 99% sure it's 100% Nazi-free.
I love how everythings colurful and quite child-like in presentation up until the first violent scene, which was just plain brutal, wasnt expecting it at all. From then on the mood of it just completly changes as the movie just gets sadder and sadder, sooo well done.
I fuggin cried, right at the end.

Me too man, me too. T_T
A pretty damn good movie worth watching.
Finally watched it, decent movie. Still don't get how it's "ZOMG AWESOME" or how anybody could cry about it though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

<!--coloro:#000000--><span style="color:#000000"><!--/coloro-->I'm sick of movies with twists, schitzo's and people just imaging stupid sh*t. Have crap be real for a change. The characters didn't change at all, well the Captain became a p*ssy at the end, and I hardly cared for them. Ofelia for instance is just a kid with a vivid imagination who screws up her own <i>imaginary</i> plots(Which is like being unable to get laid in your dreams), and gets killed at the end. Doesn't even matter since you see her dead in the beginning of the film. So you're expecting a lot of disappointment from her right of the bat.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

To sum it up, what a piece of sh*t.
Going to rent it now, hopefully they have it without Spanish subbing. Silly spanishes...
After having watched the trailer... There is no escape.

?
The movie is in spanish. All the theater versions have english subtitles.
Liku, like I've said, I haven't seen it, but I'm 99% sure there's not a single Nazi in the entire movie, at all, ever. Not even a token Nazi to sort of half-fulfill Godwin's Law. Nazi free.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Well they aren't Nazis but it is WWII era (irc) and it does deal with the spanish civil war (whatever it's called, I don't know history).
i get a movie in English <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> , and download a HUNGARIAN subtitle. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
GOOD movie. i like that world(, like Narnia, and eragon etc.)
