<div class="IPBDescription">...wow there's a lot of them...</div>So you've seen Spiderman 3, eh? That's just the start...

I worry the most about the Bourne Ultimatum, I'm not really sure what else they can do plot wise since he's become truely a good person and most of the loose ends and villians were tied off in the previous sequel. I just liked both movies so much I woud really hate it if they screwed it up like they did when they did with the Aliens series... (Alien = wow good and scary as hell, Aliens = wow epic and still scary with aliens getting smarter, and then... Aliens 3 = suck & blow and ruined good characters, Alien Resurrection = WTH OMG SUCK)
Harry Potter's biggest risk is that it will not be true to the book because they feel the need to make it fit in a timeframe. Hell if I can play a NS game for 3-4hrs straight don't screw it up to make it "regular". If they stay true the book's plot, passion, and imagery it'll rock.
Pirates's existing sequel was already better than the first in my opinion. I think at least from what I can tell, they put more though, money, effort, etc. into it again. I think it might be a very good film, at least I hope so. And aye the ladies always love a pirate matey! Bring ye date lads.
Oh yes, and let's not forget the game industry too...

Comments
But I'm scarred by Brett Ratner in X3. Don't disappoint me again, Brett.
Bruce Almighty had some moments, but I can see it beeing taken much further *cross fingers*.
Harry Potter, Rush Hour, Fantastic 4 is "meh" and the rest pretty much unknown.
Halo 3. I dunno, I just dont like the universe Halo is set in. The enemies are silly and the story cheezy with some part weird acting characters. Gameplay is pretty solid though.
Personally im dying to get my hands on HL:ep2 and the included mods, all of em. It's also one of those new games that actualy plays really good on my now mid-end computer, without lacking any eyecandy.
I dont know if you would call Quake Wars a sequel but it's the most soon coming game im really really hyped about. And, of course, Starcraft 2 rumours. Okay! NS2 too, but it still feels a really long way ahead.
die hard 4 is going to be what die hard 1, 2 and 3 was- 2 hours of guns, explosions and one-liners. 1-3 did what it did really well, and i hope 4 doesn't break the mould.
as for the others:
shrek 3 - doesnt bother me. thought the 1st one was funny but didnt like the 2nd one
pirates 3 - watched the first one but never got around to seeing the 2nd, so doubt ill watch the 3rd
oceans 13- 11 was cool, 12 was absolutely dire. julia roberts playing a character who looks identical to julia roberts? what were they smoking?!
harry potter- at 22 im an old man and have no interest in harry potter
fantastic four- watched the 1st one on tv, dont really watch superhero flicks at the cinema
evan almighty- maybe! the first one was good
bourne ultimatum- yep ill be watching that, the first two were quality
rush hour 3 - chris tucker's only character is a squeeky-voiced black man giving black man lines (you know the stereotype im talking about). much like watching a Friends actor in a movie, it doesn't sit right when he tries to be a different character.
as for games, ill buy halo 3, ill grab HL2ep2 but only for the mods; NS2 i doubt we'll see anything of in 2007.
Oceans 13? 12 made me weep like a school girl.
Harry Potter? I will watch it for the effects, CGI etc. but to be honest the story really blows.
F4.. I weren't impressed before, the special effects were cool. This one looks better although saying that the last trailer for their film kicked ###### and failed to impress overal.
Shrek 3/POTC3 ... I think that these two will win as the previous did.
Others I've missed I've never seen the prequels too / heard of.
EDIT: Die hard 4... I'm a big die hard fan. He's age old now but it will be one of those stereotypical boys and guns movies which should be a big hit.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Thought the 2nd one was terrible compared to the first so I'm quite worried about the 3rd.
Ocean's Thirteen: Just because you put a bunch of big name actors together doesn't mean you get a good movie
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: To whoever said they were too old for it, I'm 23 and I've loved every one of these. Just saw the trailor in the theatre and it looks pretty sweet.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer: Please god no.
Evan Almighty: Bruce Almighty was pretty good, have hopes for this one.
Live Free or Die Hard: Not a big fan of this kind of action movie.
The Bourne Ultimatum: 1 and 2 were good. Not sure what they can do with this one though.
Rush Hour 3: Do I even have to comment on the heaping pile of refuse that is this series?
Anyway, add FH2 and Left4Dead <img src="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/style_images/trans_system_authority/folder_post_icons/icon6.gif" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

Oh no you didn't. Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 are awesome. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker go together like peanute butter and chocolate. (Guess which one's the chocolate. Yeah, the black guy. Nice job Sherlock.)
you forgot 28 weeks later.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The first was terrible. The second will be worse.

Your opinions are <i>wrong</i>.
So the geeky whimp guy turning in to a champion fighter over night makes a good movie? You guys need to get out more.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
If that's all you remember about the movie...
28 weeks later was pretty good- but not as good. there's a couple of neat tricks the director pulls off which gets thumbs up, but overall it's a typical cloned horror sequel relying on the success of the original.

They are doing an add campaign here in NYC for Die Hard 4 on the sides of busses
it is just a large black background with a block font printing out:

I'd hit it. Metaphorically. That is, I approve.
Shrek 3 kinda interests me, but I was not so fond of Shrek2 as Shrek.
Die Hard 4? Crazy.....
Don't forget TF2 also! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
And 28 Days Later is so good. Shame on you!
everyone keeps ragging on die hard 4- were those of you who do older than 16 when the first one came out or part of the more modern "im a film critic and expect an oscar-winning, sweeping narrative" generation?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Actually no, I don't care about awards or thought provoking scripts. But the first Die Hard was just McClane kicking the sh*t out of a group of terrorists on his own. It was the perfect action flick, McClane was a hitch in the terrorist system and he's just trying to save his own ######. Now it's a big way over the top movie with explosives up the ying yang and he's saving the world in slow motion.

Yeah, once they reached that military base it was straight down hill. Actually, it was more off a cliff it turned so bad.
Shrek 3 looks okay, but hopefully it's better than 2.
Rush Hour 3 I've been expecting since the credit blooper, and I expect it to be the ...expected 1:30-2:00 of Chris Tucker/Jackie Chan style comedy/psuedo-action the other two were.
I thought Bruce Almighty was really lacking in the funny. And the horrible navigation that the Evan Almighty website provides doesn't pique my interest much either - but Steve Carell is usually pretty good.
Woot, internet film criticism!
(I have never seen 28 Days Later, any Harry Potter movies or the Fantastic Four movie.)
How is Left4Dead a sequel? I thought it was a brand new game...
Shrek 3 kinda interests me, but I was not so fond of Shrek2 as Shrek.

I'm not sure if weeks will be as good but i'll have to go see to judge for my self.
Edit put youtube tags in i forgot about them
None of the movies interest me on the sequel list. Pirates... well the first one I thought was eh, well JD is a good actor.
If only I was a buy-everything-that-is-advertised consumer...
I'm 22 and I have to admit I now like Harry Potter a lot even though when I first heard of the books I thought it was stupid and childish. Then I realized I was being hypocritical if I just prejudiced it before trying it so I read the books. They got to be really good right around the Goblet of Fire in my opinion. The films were well done but of course they could have done much better if they actually stayed true to events in the book and quit leaving **** out. Morons! It's good magical fantasy, and few of such things in film. It just goes to prove don't hate it until you give it an <i>openminded</i> (keyword there) try! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
...speaking of which, that's how I also started out with anime. I though Dragon Ball Z looked retarted and then I had a roommate who was like, "WTH... Dude, that stuff is for Japanese early gradeschoolers... Lemme show you something that actually has a f-ing plot" Enter Inuyasha, Trigun, Samurai X, Wolf's Rain, Eva, Lain (obviously what inspired the Matrix), Witch Hunter Robin, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and many many others I have grown to love. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
The orginal Bourne Identity was a ground breaking film in my opinion. Much like Matrix, Alien, Schindler's List, Star Wars IV, etc. It made you think and had good plot twists and suprises (and even a little love story in it FTW). I like that. Films that make you go woah and wow you with the plot and not just the action. I hate the start of the Bourne Supremacy where his love gets sniped just so they could have a strong plot for a vengance theme, it felt kind of cheap. But the rest of that film was pure gold. I also though the music was done very well. I like that catchy Moby (?) theme song at the credits of both films. Bourne is also ground breaking because it proves you can have high octane action without relying on fancy pyrotechnic explosions every few minutes (something quite the opposite of most action films, and yes the Die Hard films are one of those)
I missed 28 Weeks later... hmm.
Rush Hour 3 I've been expecting since the credit blooper, and I expect it to be the ...expected 1:30-2:00 of Chris Tucker/Jackie Chan style comedy/psuedo-action the other two were.
