Q: What happens if the mayor decides at night to use its powers on the same night as bloodlust howl? A: Well, the mayor gets unlucky. It doesn't work, AND the power is gone.
This applies whether the mayor is a wolf or not.
To clarify a bit more on the howl, this will block every power except wolves' kill ability. This means that the eightball will not work (and used up!), the seer's curse will not work, and the GPS system will not work.
Alright... it's been about 2 months of signups and we got... 12 people.
So here's what we'll do. I'm going to modify the game such that we have 2 wolves, and 10 humans. Yes, it puts humans on a slight advantage, but hopefully the wolves special skills will help balance it.
The signups are still open, and ideally it'll be nice to get one more player into the game. If we manage to get 14 players, then the wolves will be bumped up to 3 again.
If there are no complains from this thread, I will start the pregame thread this Friday (7/6/2007) to get this show on the road.
Ok, Eternaly Lost brought this up in IRC and piqued my interest. I used to play games like this WAY back in the day. Granted, it's been over a decade so I'm going to be pretty rusty, don't expect much.
If you guys need another player, count me in.
Edit: Hell, didn't see the profession thing. Make me security is it's available.
I hate to say this.... but I'm going to have to say no, if you're the only one that's joining.
The reason is that the wolf roles have already been passed out. If you are joining at this state, most people can say with confidence that you are a human (unless the wolves use ability #1 and random.org chooses you).
I will say this: If you can manage to find another person that wants to play TWG by 7pm PST tonight, I'll add you two in, and add randomize person into the wolf team. That'll bring the numbers to where I like it to be.

I recall several people who didn't have time last month because of summer plans. Any of them can sign up now? Only 3 more people is needed.
