cant wait to see those kharaa concepts!
I've got to echo the appreciation for your insight on concept work. Keep it coming!
Seriously though, this could be great fun if it comes with a great map design, and works with gameplay. I wonder how much this would cost in developmental time if it were to be made.

I miss that ol' door. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
PS: Tell Cory thanks for taking the time to give us that concept art.
Must resist!

Great idea! Some dynamics to the maps! I think versions 2 or 3 are the best- certainly the most interesting. The idea of the rotating front/back so as to keep the floor level is a great idea- (maybe there could be some wires that the aliens could chomp on to sabotage it until a welder fixes it). Looks great, I look forward to the other concepts!

Yes! Good idea, rail #3 with this supported in sabotaging the rear wheel so that on certain heightchanges the rail will not be on cargolevel, hence everything on it could slip off. Therefore when it's sabotaged the marines have to hold onto something and then being unable to defend themselves (press "E" to hold onto a piece of railing on the side for example) otherwise they'll slide off. It can also be repaired by the marines, but this will make the cargo-cart prove to be risky and an advantage for the aliens if they do use this advantage.
Love these blogs, amazing artwork. Keep on going!
Another suggestion: how about that Bilebombs makes the ground slippery? I realized when looking on that image again that even if the ground is steep a marine should be able to stand on it still :S
How about a comm chair on rails, with switchable tracks on the rails so that marines could guide the chair where they wanted?
Or a couple of IPs and an armoury on rails heading towards a hive?
An observatory to help you spot upcoming trouble.
Sounds great if this is possible (or let the mapper decide if it should be possible to build on a specific rail car, preferably with some indication for the player, if this turns out to be a bit biased in favour of marines).
Edit: A new game type where the marines have to escort an item on the rail car to a destination while the aliens try to stop them. Switchable tracks for different routes, etc. I could see this catching on in a similar way to siege maps.
#3 is my favorite.
I'd like to have monorail cat transport me ^^

I officially recommend this as the equivalent to the NS1 scorpion that hovers without flapping.
Bring on the reign of the monorail cat.
its good that your sharing the ideas with the community btw =]
I think this game will very great and have cool feeling like the best sci-fi game(ns isnt a game , its a mod <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />) Aliens versus predator 1.
Love it, reminds me on resident evil movie <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
Keep more good artworks =)
Will marines be able to build bases on it?
Having a mobile platform for basebuilding might provide some interesting gameplay.
