It's an ex-brit Aussie talking about games really fast with funny little animations. Lots of laughs.

P.S. It seems that he lives in Brisbane! Let the internet detectiving begin!

Yeah he's really hilarious. As I said, he's a goon on Something Awful and hangs around YCS and Games a lot. I linked to Zero Punctuation in <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com//forums/index.php?showtopic=102282&st=40" target="_blank">this thread</a>, so I beat you! Ha!
Anyway, he has two more reviews on Youtube: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYQLR7dE5k4" target="_blank">Fable</a> and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWS9_nrKOPA" target="_blank">Darkness Demo</a>. I'll embed them at the end of this too.
He has the website <a href="http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/" target="_blank">Fully Ramblomatic</a>. If this sounds familiar, yes, he's the creator of 1213, 7 Days a Stranger, etc. etc. He's a man of many talents.

I unignored your post just to call you a reject. Next time I guess I won't mention an interesting fact that I would say regardless of whether I frequent SA or not. Stop posting.
Oh, forgot to say thanks for telling me the "right" code more than 25 minutes after I fixed it.
Well, if we're engaging in one-upsmanship, I might as well point out that I linked to his first video (the review of "The Darkness") <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com//forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=102134&view=findpost&p=1641242" target="_blank">almost a month earlier.</a> I do believe this makes me both famous and rich.
Edit: And by the way, I knew what this thread was about from the title alone. I've been on the internet too much.
Best gamereviews ever.
Ectetera... Good stuff...
If you still aren't convinced here is the obligatory quoting of the stop-frame text joke: "Durr I push the buttons and the mans fall down".
And for the record his review of Psychonauts convinced me to buy that on Steam and its basically super-brilliant. Not sure what his review of Bioshock makes me think, but it was extremely entertaining at least.
I love this man. How can someone be so clever?
-RRRRR
He's a little hard on the game? He called it one of the best games ever made! If that's being harsh I wonder what he does when he goes nice on a game.
Um... no. Unless my memory is faulty he called it one of the best games of the <i>year</i>, which really isn't saying much.
It was actually pretty eerie to hear him confirm pretty much everything I suspected from what I'd read (especially in the spoiler thread).
In case you're the curious type, Super Mario 64 currently tops the list.
Also, I'm stealing "Leap ignorantly to the defense of wealthy game companies who don't know or care about you" because that's a great expression.
ALSO, SS1 was only better if you liked a control scheme that was slightly more fun than stuffing razor blades down your underpants.

if your favorite game ever was mario 64, way above SS1 and 2, then Bioshock should sit above SS1 and 2 on your list also. it offers an experience that reminds me of mario 64 almost as much as it reminds me of SS2. it's a little on the casual side, easy to pick up, satisfying gameplay without being too complex, a ton of love and detail put into the world...
I can forgive the poor control scheme because a) The rest of the game was brilliant, and b) It was released around the same time as doom, and fps controls were still sort of... experimental.

Um.... no? SS2 has more of what I expect from that sort of game. You have to remember, Bioshock is basically a sequel, and as a sequel it has failed miserably IMO because it is weaker in the areas that made SS2 what it was. It's basically a dumbed down copy.
on the topic of doom-era first person games, Ultima Underworld 1 and 2 clearly trump all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
I played the game because the rest of the game was indeed rather brilliant. The storytelling and athmosphere were creepy and cool. However, the combat was jaw-wrenchingly boring because due to the clunky-as-SUV controls I could only play on the easiest difficulty without getting the urge to slam my face into the keyboard repeatedly. On the easiest difficulty, enemies were literally pushovers: They never attacked, and they died in one shot. This dramatically affected the replayability of the game, meaning that I never played through it again after I'd seen the ending sequence. It also robbed the game of tension because enemies couldn't hurt me. To quote from another context, the game wasn't difficult, it was simply hard to play.
The game was undoubtedly brilliant, but sadly the gameplay was largely spoiled by a control scheme thought up by a masochist. I cannot help but think that this was an influence in the game's comparatively low success.
I mean, the guy is overwhelmingly in favor for Bioshock.
No, because it is too similar to its predecessor. They've only managed to remove elements from it really.
lolfighter, I don't think the controls were <i>that</i> bad, but if you grew up playing more modern control schemes then I could see how it would seem tremendously retarded and painful.

Yes, he is. I have no doubt that Bioshock is a pretty good game, because it basically is SS2 which was a really good game. But the thing is, I've already played SS2, and so Bioshock only looks like a step backwards from my perspective.
