Minerva is thus far, the best single player mod for Half-Life 2, with a hell of a story and completely unequaled level design. The final part has been released.
Sadly I can't finish it as I have to go to work now, but the moment I get home I'm finishing it. If you haven't played any of them, well, lucky you, you've got a hell of a lot of gameplay in front of you(5 hours *at the least*).
Now, do some damage.

Sigh, stop crying.
Remind me again when the orange box is fully unlocked and i will give you ep1 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

He probably uses some of the Episode 1 models/other content. Suck it up and buy the Orange Box; it's WELL worth the money. Episode 1 is like the best parts of Half-Life 2 all put together, without anything that's even slightly boring. It's a nonstop adrenaline thrill rush.
Adrenaline rush that lasts about two hours; I'm glad I didn't buy Ep 1 at full price.
I've never played Minerva because I just acquired HL2, so I didn't have to wait!

If it lasted 2 hours, then you are a member of a group that makes up <a href="http://www.steampowered.com/status/ep1/" target="_blank">0.04% of the people who played it</a>. You must be hilariously fast. The VAST majority (~99.96%) got more than 2 hours out of it.
Play it on hard or stop eating so much sugar or something. Stop and smell the roses.
slight spoiler:
stack the supply crates and pull the power socket out of the wall. Worked for me anyway.
another spoiler:
Another part was the "structural instability" where I didn't read the text as I was half playing half explaining the mod to my housemate. so he watched me jumping around the place not having a clue what to shoot or do. His remarks "looks .... fun"
Either way, I beat it now. Fun game :)
Oh well, luckily the game was divided into chapters, so I just started over from chapter 3. 'twas a nice ride, all in all.
Going through it again on Hard would be easier, knowing where everything is and all.
Does the "Single Transmission" include all the previous releases?

Yeah, the latest includes all 4 episodes.
Its the whole thing.
Okay, this thing is pissing me off. Minerva 1 and 2 did a good job of being fairly obvious(and Disco, the download link IS ######ing obvious). #3 thus far has had 2 times thus far(I'm still not done) where I have to ask help.
#1: After you press the 2 buttons in the shaft room, you throw grenades in. Don't shoot at them, don't fire the same goddamn things that are in there, <i>don't throw barrels in them like you have for the previous ######ing holes in the wall</i>, you throw grenades in. Why is it that THOSE grenades do some ######ing magical boomjob while the secondary fire for the mp7 does nothing?
#2(and the part I'm stuck at): Okay, so I have some turrets to help defend against zombies. WHERE THE ###### DO I GO. THERE IS AN ENDLESS GRENADE THING AND I HAEV GRENADED EVERY GODDAMN WALL IN THIS PLACE FOR 45 GODDAMN MINUTES. WHAT IN THE ROYAL ###### IS UP WITH THE SUDDEN LACK OF QUALITY. I waited this long, and it looks like when he went to Valve they ######ed up his thoughts on how to do puzzles. ######ing Christ.
Edit: Oh right, there isn't just 1 or 2 pressure pipes, but 3, except the 3rd one has no lighting on it so it looks like rubble. Great!

....sooo when you read "slight spoiler" you keep reading? I'll humour you next time I guess. Really though, that neither of those can really "spoil" the game for you.
no, it really isn't
go there with the knowledge that this has been released in parts and you will be wondering where the ###### the links to the seperate parts are, is this the latest one? is this all parts? is this the first part?
wth?
either way, downloading now <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
So I don't know what you wrote about, but I did see the other examples, and explanations of how to tackle areas ARE spoilers, they're gameplay spoilers. Imagine if someone gave you the answers to every single Portal level in a thread entitled "Portal is out", you wouldn't be happy. Spoiling all the puzzles in a game removes a massive part of the experience. E.g. in HL2, if you had been told about <span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>putting barrels into the water underneath the see-saw</span> to gain access to the next section, you lose part of the problem-solving experience. You lose those moments where you survey the surrounding environment for clues and come up with your own solution, and instead end up performing to some sort of game guide script like some soulless automaton.
Going back to the Portal argument, according to an interview with the Portal team, one of the joys of the game is seeing people tackle each level in their own imaginative way. By revealing a 'minor spoiler' on how to tackle a problem you can prescribe a method of accomplishment, and you infringe upon the original work.
So my main point is that unwarranted puzzle solutions are gameplay spoilers, and just as annoying as story spoilers. If you like the mod, it only seems sensible to respect the author's work and respect the would-be Minerva players of this forum so they get the most possible out of Minerva.

I'm not asking you to be a drama queen and beat yourself senseless over it, I'm simply asking you to have some consideration for other people.
I just got to <span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>the part where you see the giant portal open, a few ships fly through, and then you are told to shut it down</span>
Missing textures and/or objects EVERYWHERE.
Is this a known problem? should I re-download?

Of course I have EP 1 installed, I knew you needed it to play!
*actually checks*
well I feel dumb now.
I haven't played EP 1 since I rebuilt my computer, I fail it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
thanks!
This is where I'm stuck, after nading them, what the hell do I do?
Great level design but the messages kill the mood. "You're a worthless cretin, you'll die soon! Blah blah blah." Dull and stupid.

Well, if you've naded them all...a certain something happens.
