(It does need it's own topic, BIG FLAW)
This game totally screwed up my PS3.
It may not be everybody, but there is that chance.
And I'm not the only one. At one of the local Game Stops I go to, they've received other reports after mine that Assassins Creed has made the PS3 unable to locate the HD. If you do get it at a place that has a PS3 setup, demand/request/whatever to play it on their PS3 first.
This is the error I got and I'm sure others are getting as well:
Cannot start.
Cannot locate the correct hard disk.
Good job Ubi Soft?

My friend at Game Stop refused to take an AC cd and put it in the PS3 they have hooked up for demos. lol
But the good news is:
I got my money back (all of it) from the PS3. (except for the games and I now have a BRAND new unopened AC that I'll probably sell).
I went back to that game stop, got a new PSP Slim, FF Tactics (psp) and the Castlevania duel pack (psp) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
There are a number of issues with AC on the PS3 related to the firmware patch from last week. Apparently a fix is due out rsn. I've been lucky though, the game has crashed on me twice in the 5-6 hours I've been playing it, but other than that, no major issues. The game went gold before firmware 2.0 was released, so unfortunately it didn't get tested on it.
I originally decided not to buy the game, but my gf arrived home with it as a gift yesterday and I have to say, I've really been enjoying it. I'm on the third assassination mission now, and things are getting up to a level of difficulty where the game is starting to become challenging.
I"ll get a new one probably on Xmas.
Bummer too, it was the last 60 gig at the Best Buys I went too.
wait.. :|

Or do what I did and get a nice new PSP with Castlevania, Tactics and hack the hell out of the PSP to play emulators. lol

y/n?
It's a cheap blu-ray player and it's made by Sony. Problems pin-pointed.
Fixed.
Whiny, I wouldn't know. I've only seen pics, and I think watched one interview video without bothering to turn the audio up. Just cause I heard she was cute, and wanted to take a look for myself.
As for "not very attractive"... on what, exactly, are you basing that statement? Just throwing some BS out there like that really speaks on your perception of real life women and what exactly makes a woman attractive. Like, in real life. IRLs.
She's got a cute face, a nice clean smile, she's slim with what you could confidently assume to be nice boobs, and she produced Assassin's Creed. Altogether that's not bad. That's actually good.

But the whole geek factor really is a turn-on for us in the geek crowd. Isn't it?
In black and white: a very cute girl who maybe has the same interests as you > a super hot chick who is a bimbo and a ######. That is, if you factor those kinds of traits into your attraction for females. Maybe it's just me, because I dig dorky chicks too. My girlfriend is cute as hell but just about as much of a dork as I am. We both cosplay and do other nerdy stuff.
I work with a guy who thinks that seeing a decent-looking woman in a big-ass, lifted pickup truck makes her about 2 points hotter on the 10 scale.
I think it's that whole thing.
I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you - I had someone turn off their XBOX 360 though, and the world around be is audible...say again?
(this is pointed in all directions)
I love my friend's XBOX 360. I mean, myself and another friend actually crashed his house when he wasn't there just to play his. He came in and was pretty surprised to find two people in what he was expecting to be an empty house. We had an urge man. But it's okay, we bought fifty chinese dounuts and all sat down and jammed on Halo 3 multiplayer for awhile.
*insert wii fanboy ######ii here*
However the reason why the Wii never comes up in these sorta discussions is that everyone either:
A) Acknowledges the superiority of the Wii.
or
B) Is a idiot that just doesn't understand how AMAZING the Wii is.

That or they just are not interested in the types of games that are on the Wii (like my brother).
I didn't think the Wii had the hardware to support something like AC. Motion sensors isn't too 'next gen' for me. People don't try to compare the Wii to the PS3 or the XBOX 360 for the same reason I didn't mention it - it simply isn't in the same "ballpark" as the others, it feels like a different system. Very fun in it's own right (I enjoy it, at least) but it doesn't feel like a competitor rather than another product all together.
