And if you manage to kill with the KGB, you'll want to swap to the chaingun and fire off some crits, but the warm up time would waste at least one second.
Seems a waste giving the slowest class in the game-with a primary gun that doesn't need reloading- an unlockable melee weapon.
What, so he should only have two unlockables?

They could had put sandwich in melee slot and something else instead of shotgun. Luckily the punches stack but slower speed isn't helping trying to chain. It will either be used if you manage to surprise someone or punch crit a pyro who tries to hug you, not often enough to chain so the minigun can get any use of it.

Team Frag and Fun (IPs at link)
And Tactical Gamer: TF2.TacticalGamer.com
My issue with the KGB is that it is even more situational then other weapons have been.
Look, the medic will periodically bone saw, and just a single smack is a quick 25% boost to his uber (possibly enough to put him at 100%, or jsut get there faster).
The Axtinguisher is mostly pointless, but so is the fire ax in general, I would say the axtinguisher is actually better.
The heavy just never punches, and if he gets a punch kill it is because the other team sucks horribly.
As said, I would rather have seen samich replace his melee then his shotgun (chance of me giving up my damn shotgun? not likely, unless the samich ubercharges me or something)
The axtinguisher is madly entertaining though. Makes ambushes much funnier. Rather than burning them down, just give 'em a poof of flame to set them alight, then swat them down with your axe.

The third link is now active, showing off a new Valve map, Badwater Basin. Sadly Badwater doesn't feature any new game mode or environment type. It is a payload map in a desert industrial environment, focusing more on vertical control and open areas. It also forgoes multiple stages, instead having a single long stage with multiple checkpoints.
Should be fun, most of the valve maps are, and payload is awesome.. Still, have to wonder what they have up their sleeves for the new game mode and environment.
I haven't been able to play TF2 on PC for months due to a lack of computer, had to buy it on 360 (dont kill me) just to get my fix of TF2. Sadly it has like none of the new content and the players suck ass on it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
It said it would be good to jump around corners and ambush people with... whyyyyyyy? Does it spin up faster? Does it not slow the heavy down when they're firing? =o

The ambush bit... I think they mean because your victims wouldn't be able to run from you. Other then that yes the normal is so much more effective.
I also fail to see how any of this will decouple the medic from the heavy... It seems a heavy with a medic and this could play a heavy support role sitting back shooting everyone and never dying... Just slowing people down so they can be dominated.

They did a terrible job with heavy weapons in my opinion. The weapons do nothing to decouple the heavy from the medic, and just giving the heavy a portable med pack would be stupid. I mean like I said before, the new minigun is probably even MORE effective when paired with a medic because you can make the enemy team stand still. (or slow down at least)
Meh. What happened to the idea we were all talking about before?
Another slight possibility is that the shotgun replacement has a new taunt that lets you eat a sandwich. That I wouldn't have such a problem with.

Huh.. I hadn't even considered that possibility, it fits too. I mean, the pyro got a slow, but effective instant melee kill in their taunts.. and another achievement details a heavy taunt causing damage. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to have the sandwiches be taunt based

epic... well kinda, but the spy/pyro/engineer did quite ignore the fact of low hp on someone you just hit...
