If they made the achievements achievable without farming them that would be decent, but they are not!
I got the syringe gun legit, but realised there was no way I would be getting any of the others without farming them for hours, so I "cheated" for the rest.
They should just realise their mistake and unlock them for everyone, balance the new syringe gun a bit more so you can't tank a heavy at medium range, make the kritzkrieg better than it is and give up on the unlocking crap. Keep the achievements though, except make them achievable so I don't get yelled at by another medic for saving a heavy's life with ubercharge and "stealing" his heavy he needs to get achievements.

Unlockable anything, in pretty much any multiplayer system is just pretty terrible. All it does is encourages the worst in gamers. I genuinely wish developers would stop doing it.
So I see a medic win four achievements, then write "how do u activate uber?" I wish I could puke on command so I could adequately express my sentiment regarding him.
Trying to get the "5 exploding kills assisst from soldier", my medic and I got 4 people like, 8 times in a row. Damn that is frustrating, managed to get "Feel like a prick" after numerous retries tho. Finally got kritkrieg, dunno if I can be arsed to get ubersaw..

This is going to make it even harder for spies too. When they replace everyone's primary weapon with a souped up one the spy is still going to look like he's carrying the old gun no one uses.

That would solve it.
Not completely, it still narrows it down enormously if only one person on the team is using a Milestone 1 equivalent for a given class.
It half fixes it, but not completely. Now, even if the enemy has 4 Demos, instead of disguise as a Demo so you can pass off as any one of them, it's disguise as the Demo without the Milestone 2 weapon.
It shows they haven't thoroughly thought this through, because the 'perfect' solution for this would be to have all new weapons use the same model but display a different colour/sound/effect for the attack animation, and the weapons are shown on the team scoreboard for anyone interested. E.g. Blutsaugher fires green syringes, Ubersaw has a green/purple/whatever glow around it when attacking, Kritzkrieg already shows up as text with a % to uber when you hover the reticle over a Medic.
That way the Spy isn't nerfed by the update, since a Spy cannot attack and keep his disguise so he can still pass off as a class.
I'm just wondering how long they will wait until the next class gets a update, a few months seem to be normal. This way they really can suck on the caramell for a veeery long time.
Unrelated: How do I set Firefox to check for spelling errors? I had it before format of computer but now it doesn't care for anything I write.

Valve hasn't said when they're going to release updates for other classes. They haven't even officially decided to do that yet (Though I'd be surprised if they weren't playtesting at least a few changes). I'd guess about six months before we see another upgrade to TF2. Valve has been very picky about what they release to the public, and they're willing to take their sweet time to make sure it gets done right. ::shrug:: They've never let me down so far, so I'm willing to wait.

in one of the interviews about the update they did say that there was going to be an update for every class, and then they mentioned some ideas for the engineers update. they made it sound like all his upgrades would be boosts to his buildings, one specifically being the dispenser healing at almost the rate of a medic and the teleporter warming up twice as fast.
they also said that the updates will come out a lot quicker than the medic one. they have been planning these updates from day one, so they already have work done on one, if not all, of the other updates. they didnt give a time frame of course, but i bet itll be soon enough.
I was playing a game today with Michelle and Toothy. There was a medic on the other team that was exploiting somehow. He'd be uber'd constantly, running around hacking people to bits with the bonesaw. Just him, by himself, nobody ubering him, with his bonesaw out. Cutting people to bits.
Apparently if he got a heal from one of his team-mates, it dispelled the uber.
I reported him to admins and he moved to a different server and started doing it there.
Most of the work on this patch has been on the back-end code, the "framework," if you will. The implementations for the other classes will be easier to do, although there's always testing. Valve likes to do testing. Lots of testing. Lots and lots and lots of testing. And then some more testing.

Besides, there's no slot for engineer toolkit in the equipment menu (or for spy sapper).
The weapons aren't supposed to be souped-up versions, so people should still be using the original versions. Let's just hope they do a better job of balancing them next time; slow attack rate doesn't really affect ubersaw since melee combat is such a cluster**** already that you shouldn't be swinging all the time. And well, no crit needles... as medic? Too rare in the first place, although I will admit my only kills with old needlegun was with crits. Mostly all the interest lay in pestering them while I run away, which is only made easier by healing myself. Anyone charging at the enemy with either needler is a retard.

I'm sure I remember reading something about "over the next year we'll be releasing updates for each class", so roughly once a month I guess. I also heard that the next class to get an update was the sniper, but I heard this in-game from some random guy, so it's not true.

Meh kirtzkrieg is kinda pointless in a "normal game". It helps greatly though if you are trying to get the "punch 2guys with a heavy during uber" "xplode 5 guys with a soldier during uber" etc. achievements. For me the kritzkrieg is more like a fun toy. Scout and medic going toe to toe with a heavy and then having a 100% crit chance helps, but so does having 10 seconds where oyu can just beat the heavy silly and all he can do in return is run away.
Yeah, I'm glad the Kritzkrieg is not the first one, because I'm probably never going to use it anyway. I'm probably never going to get the übersaw either, which is sad since its advantage far outweighs its drawback, but eh, c'est la guerre. At least I'll get the Bloodsucker pretty easily, without having to do stupid not-really-playing-medic-properly ######.
I'm up to 10 achievements without really trying. Many I got simply through playing the game normally. The only ones I tried to get were the two-ubers-at-once one and the charge-an-uber-before-game-starts one.
I find I get a lot of kills with the needlegun. As long as you play smart and lead your target properly, you've nothing to fear. I'm up to 10/something scout kills already.

Stupidest thing... I'm trying to get Second Opinion (uber two people at once) and it's not working.
So I went on google to try to find out how to do it, and I find out that if you do it too fast it doesn't register it... Even though both people are lit up like Christmas trees and I assume are invulnerable, doing it TOO WELL means I don't get the achievement.
