Afaik Rosetta Stone wins hands down with their "Dynamic Immersion" method of teaching, which mimics the way one learned their native language as a child. It's a fave in the corporate world too... I'm surprised at how many people and businesses as well are aware of this program.

I believe the patch rectified the memory leak issue, but it was difficult to install - ensure you do a full backup first.

Here's another question for anyone fluent in Spanish: is there an easy method of determining an object's gender, so that one may use the proper adjective (or whatever) to describe it? An example would be, <b>nuestra/nuestro bicicleta etsa verde</b>. I thought bicicleta would be masculine so I chose nuestro - BONG! Wrong answer.

Haha, it's not that big a deal. We spend like a full year or two being nagged about the rrr sound by our parents in Sweden.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/marine.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::marine::" border="0" alt="marine.gif" />

Be a good little marine and practice!

Bicicleta must be femininum - most words ending in a is that way.
There are rules but I'm a lazy thing and can't find them quick like.

I've always just been able to do the rolled R... I can guesstimate I learned it trying to imitate cat purring, or possibly because my German grandparents tried to teach me to speak the way western germaners do, but I have no idea. I hear it's almost impossible to learn as an adult <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Some germans roll the r, others don't. Depends on dialect I guess. I think we're all capable of it though.

Nobody is born capable of rolling the r, it's just something you pick up. If all Germans can do it then I'd guess there's some similar sound in German that means everyone ends up being able to whether or not they end up using it.
