Vertex editing will never go away.

    I'm guessing he means a Displacement-like tool.

I doubt that, displacements are better for terrain, but NS2 is indoors, I expect it's more like boolean operators, subtract (carve), union that kind of thing. That said, a displacement entity could be used quite dramatically to put dynamic dents in things...

Real time environmental destruction like Geo Mod 2, if only it was true. Well it might be I dunno what Max is up to <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    has to be controlled though so the entire level won't be explod/carve -able <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Yikes, you guys really ran with that one...

Just for the record, I'd expect your time spent vertex editing to increase, not decrease.

Have some other responses to posts in this thread I'll get to later today; thanks for the responses!

I feel the same way. However, the twitter has had some good posts this week. Like the one with the alien commander idea (with an image! Thank you very much).
