Do you honestly believe that - after having spent more than let's say 30 minutes on this forum - the developers would expect the users here to adhere to any limits they give? ;D Spending ~40$ does not make anybody here more trustworthy than somebody who has not pre-ordered. Whatever they release to those who pre-ordered, they expect that everybody could potentially see everything of it.

My thoughts exactly. This game won't go big with out our help!
And I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but this is available to both editions if I'm reading this right (and it looks pretty straightforward). Which is great for those people who are still unsure of how talented these guys are and don't want to shell out 40 bucks just yet. Hopefully this test will convince you!
4 am here just took me to watch the latest episodes of House MD, How I met your mother and Big Bang Theory and now I get this ... and thats even better compared to the three episodes I just watched (actually not really, Hugh Laurie is godlike :) )
Thank you for the update and for the first release date on something for NS2 *cheers*
I don't understand why this pre-test is available to all pre-orders,
You are testing the basic functionality of the engine and game code, is this not what you would call an alpha??
oh well, not like it affects me, but I thought that the whole reason for the more expensive pre-order was to have the privilege of being first to see all the tech in action

Would depend whats in it I suppose. Though I'd imagine that if this really was an alpha, UWE would be calling it as such given how keen they've been to get it out there.
Good news in any case. Be interesting to see just what we'll be able to work with.

And i bet they will release Alpha to the usual pre orders as well.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Just a guess, so they can test the engine on as many possible machines as they can. I'm not sure why you are then leaping to standard edition getting an alpha. Anyway having a set date is awesome, at least I know I will be uncapped by then.

Rather you than me, I realise it's neccesary to fix bugs but god I would hate to have to deal with a bunch of people complaining unhelpfully at every single error in the game and saying the game will suck because of it.

... and good night
If you're testing networking, that must mean you're releasing some form of server. I'm looking forward to Flaytona: NS2 Edition.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the scripting engine.
Flaytona 2 is going to happen (with Lua based lap counters and power-ups), though I wonder if voice communication is in yet.
As will the rest of the fans/purchasers. Me included.
Im sure those who were undoubtedly negative toward the dev's and their updates now got a kick in the butt and sure enough are estatic.
Got faith in you guys, keep up the amazing & inspirational work!
Matt.
@community
Expect to have problems! It will be alpha software! There will no place for complaining but only for helping fixing bugs.
Good news but either?
What ever, it will be fun and i finaly can test lua mods YAY
@Skyforger2
Its like the spark editor you know, i guess the alpha will be like they say, only for the fans (special version)
And: Can't wait till 9th ! (thanks to timezones it will be 10th for me...)
lol?
I don´t know if you are ironic or serious :P
