NS2_Siege007 Remake

<div class="IPBDescription">First Map :)</div>Sooo yeah bit of a boring one..
Im gonna remake NS_Siege007 exactly as it was in NS1 and then make some changes to ballance it for NS2 and make it fit NS2 better.
(Adding tech points, more or less RT's (prolly less) and smaller or bigger rooms.)
Then I will prolly make some more changes to make it look better than it did in ns1... heh...
Then I will prolly add my own personal touches...
So anyway im not very far but this is current progress...
Trying to get all the dimensions right is most important at the moment.

Also the textures are not finnished obveously they are just placeholders..

OP you should change up the look and feel a bit, the last sieges were very blocky and nothing like the maps people have been designing for NS2. I think they should be much similar. The problem with the old sieges was the ridiculously high rooms and lengthy corridors (among other things hah!)
Anyawy make sure you put your own touch on the map. Don't make it exactly the same
Cant honestly say I loved them, but it was fun to have a mess about on one once in a while.
Easy res, easy upgrades, easy practice.

The game mode is cute and some find it fun even, but why so uglyous (sorry Joker pun there <img src="http://members.home.nl/m.borgman/ns-forum/smileys/rolleyes.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />). At least put some more work in the texturing, this might even make boxworld007 look somewhat better...

Fun comes in many forms. There ARE times when the detail of the map is not important.
Example: supersiege_005. A map with the most basic grey wall/floor/ceiling texture imaginable repeated on every surface of the map. But the shape and pace of the map was pure gold that resulted in many epic battles, and classic secret-room holdouts. Combine that with epic music that pisses off some people, and it all just contributes to the lawls.
It's not breaking gameplay, it's just gameplay of a different flavor. With mostly broken maps.
lawls are overrated, but then again... orange dev textured maps seem teh hot in TF2 as well...
Lazy mappers are lazy, but it's no lie those guys take the caek!
But its still not that pretty....
