good thing your mum told you not to take candy from strangers :P
So your french guy (never noticed his name anywhere) was your "Contract UI artist (12/14/11) (Position has been filled)" and finished his work now (means there will be no changes in the UI for 1.0 release anymore ? ) ? Btw have you found any new game programmers now ?
PS: Its very impressive how you manage all this progress with this small team !
PPS:NS2 is really coming together now.Really enjoy playing it since b 216 ! Think we need more maps like ns2_docking.On this map you can see the whole potential of this game.

MMMMMMMMMMMM can't wait to see the actual skin for the grenade launcher!
Also how the new physics will turn out to be, killing an Onos only to watch the corpse fly 15 feet even though it's weight probably is somewhat similar to a car at a minimum seems a bit odd.

At the moment, there really aren't any noticeable visual changes in the game related to it. Improving the ragdolls for the player models is an entirely different task, so unfortunately Onos corpses still fly and do many crazy and silly looking things.
Has the game been officially delayed yet? There's not going to be enough patches to sort out performance in the time leftover, unless there's some ridiculous step up next patch.
Just give it a late autumn release date and spend the next months polishing :)

Since its only ~4 weeks till the end of summer, Natural Selection 2 is now called Natural Selection 2 Beta in Steam.
Am i correct to assume ns2 1.0 will be released but keep under beta status? Or are you planning to manage 2 versions of it, kinda like a regular and a "playtester" version? (similar to how valve does it, to get feedback and a place to play around with balance mechanics etc?) edit: Option 3 - maybe i am interpreting too much into it?
I just cant think of why else you would suddenly change the name to beta, since it didnt need to have it in the name for years.

If this has anything to do with trying to locate power nodes within the map for new players(such as myself), the map works okay, but I am hoping for a subtle effect that does not remind me of this:
Realistically, a freshly dropped node should give some indication without actually making itself obvious at all skill levels, and.. that "where is the power node" phase does pass.. it by no means is a persistent problem.

You better this time.. =)

B17, release a new more conveniant gl, that you know nobody will like.
Profit.

At least give us some sneak shots or a video of the main changes, like the new launcher.
