-I'm unsure if this is intentional or a bug but when alien comm you can now only use the hive that you're in. Why? (if you try to use another hive all the buttons are red and unusable until you run your ass over there and get in it.) Heck just remove the hotkeys and you got more of an interactive movie than a game!
-Cysts are SO WEAK (Not the 600hp part), I smell mega griefing incoming because the cysts don't regenerate any hp and if one marine wanders into your base he can literally kill well over 200+ res. (Especially with the alien comm notifications STILL NOT WORKING.) And if I do save my infestation spread I am still severely damaged because all of my cysts will be damaged thus making it even easier to ###### me over. 1 step forward 4 steps back is what I'm feeling for the alien comm.
I have played about 5 games with 180, my thoughts, or, my 'moanlog'
- Cheap nade launcher was a big mistake, now alien bases can be killed too easily. Why should a gorge have to save for years to build hydra defenses when a marine can spend 20 res on a nade launcher and take out all the defences with ease? - Flamethrower goes through walls still. - Cysts isn't a good name...it actually means something quite opposite to what the 'item formally known as pustules' does, i.e. link things together. - Cysts are very expensive for something which doesn't add a lot and is easily taken down by a basic marine. - Gorges are supposed to have enough res to build expensive cysts and build hydras??? - Marine on marine welding looks silly but it did encourage them to stick together. - Cysts spreading infestation up walls is very cool and would be even better if you gave gorges projective vomit placement for cysts and hydras, then it might be worth the resources to put all that stuff up on the ceiling. - You need some kind of info, tool tip, help thingy to explain how cysts/infestation works. I thought the infestation would have to be touching but now all you need is for the cysts to be in each others line of sight. - The light pulse sent along the cysts is awesome but shouldnt be visible to marines. - Cysts need to become tougher the longer theyre alive, or closer they are to the hive. A single basic marine can rush the hive, kill a pustule or two and take out half the map's infestation. - Cysts are too large and protrude too much from infestation, I'd prefer something a bit flatter. - Something needs to be done to make whips useful. - The map additions are really extensive and impressive, and make cross roads much more important. - Everything is really expensive for aliens they can't build bases quickly like the marines. It should be aliens who are highly mobile but marines are more capable with their power packs, MACs, phase gates and sprint. Give gorges the ability to build crags and whips and other things too. - Marines are kind of boring they always have shotguns. - someone pointed out you have to be holding tab to see who is using the mic. That's not so helpful. - BIG BUG: still people have trouble respawning. It says click to respawn but that only toggles spectator mode.

+ Lerk flight model is way better now, although not quite perfect. + Changes to Summit are phenomenal, I love that entire vent/xroads change. + The sound when you hit something while firing.

I can suicide a hive and kill a single cyst and completely cut off infestation to a side of the map. That's awful, WHAT was the thought process behind this? - Movement with the flamer is SOOOO slow. They're also unnecessary now since you can kill infestation with any gun. I guess they may have some use against fades? We'll see. - Fade swiping. Awful. I understand it's supposed to be like NS1 focus, but you barely have enough energy to blink in once and hit one marine and get out, especially if they have flamers.
? Slowing down when getting hit. ? Sentries went untouched. Oh well, guess we'll enjoy another 3 weeks of 2 hour "kill the sentry" games.

Well it's downloaded and all, but apparently my video encoder (5 vids in the oven) threatens to crash when I fiddle with the CPU priority. Tomorrow there shall be another day at least...

I love all the new sounds in the game, and it overall has a nicer presentation than earlier.
Main annoyance is the how weak pustules are. One person with a shotgun was mowing them all away from generator to our hive.
And then proceeded to make use of an egg bug in which the 1st egg always spawns right next to the hive. So 1 person was denying 7 aliens from spawning.

Agreed. I enjoyed the blackness intermixed with the red. If anything they should keep experimenting with different lighting styles when the power is out to find the best one.

EDIT: i have a Radeon 5850 and I try in 1680x1050 High and 800x600 Low, same thing.
