Version 0.16 was released some time ago. Oh my stars...
The biggest new thing is 'EVA's or "Extra-Vehicular Activities". There's also some new parts, like bigger/more powerful rocket parts, as well as ladders for EVAs. The crew pods are also a little different. The pod for one crew member has the same radius as the old parts (like fuel tanks and engines). The three kerb pod is slightly larger and is as big as the new, bigger parts.

Version 0.17 is out now. The game now includes a total of 14 (in other words 11 new) stellar bodies, a bunch of new parts, training scenarios and other improvements.
The servers blew up, so I haven't been able to update and try it yet. Can't keep my socks on.
ksp 0.18 is out! http://kerbaldevteam.tumblr.com/post/36932...l-spaceport-and -Docking and space stations -Flight planning -Rocket building music!
KSP rules. It cost me half as much as NS2, it's thirty times as fun, is infinitely more playable in its alpha state than NS2 is in its released state, and the developers care and are putting a thousand times as much attention and love into it.
There's no reason for anyone who wasted money on NS2 to have no bought KSP unless you just make terrible decisions with your money on a routine basis.

Like trying to link two independently-controlled orbiters. Well, the novelty would probably wear off quickly.
Having two or more players just play the same world would be interesting, but the time compression mechanic would make it difficult. For my latest mission I went to Jool, and the trip there took over a year of Kerbal time. That meant a lot of sitting in 10000x time compression. Maybe the eventual Career-mode could offer better multiplayer capabilities, but I think multiplayer is pretty low on the Upcoming features- list.

Been too busy making a crazy space station for docking space planes! Although it's a big mess with half the solar panels blocked by the station or other solar panels lol.
(Space) planes are basically just wizardry for me. No matter how many (or few) wings and engines I attach I can't make a sensible plane. Then I watch Scott Manley take off with a solar powered airplane at just about 25 m/s. Then I got take my previous rocket design and add a few more boosters.
Time compression in multiplayer is way easy: Each player sets their desired time compression. Actual time compression is the highest value they can agree on.
Yeah, that would be the way to do it (like Defcon does). My point was that the range of time compression is huge and a lot of the time you're just waiting to get into the right place. Lets say you're 30 minutes away from a Munar injection burn and the other player is just launching their rocket. Your game essentially grinds to a halt until the other player has their ###### together and is ready for 100x time compression.
But for example flying airplanes could work better for multiplayer purposes, since you're probably not using time compression all that often, and the range for physical time is 1x - 4x.
I had something else I intended to post, but I forgot it by now.
I wonder if you could save significant fuel by retrieving the munar orbiter with a second launch. Probably not though, the savings in fuel on the first mission would be lost on the second mission.

I'd like to thank This little thread and jesse cox helping me discover this amazing game. 311 hours so far
I will start off by posting the biggest thing I have. The MLAS Razgriz.
I once built this Duna Space Station. Comes with two super cool looking Duna-Kerbin-transition-ships, calles Skyhoppers, a perfectly reusable lander and shitload of fuel for further adventures.
That was back in the days of 0.17.2, shortly after RCS got nerfed to not have 1 km/s of Delta-v anymore
In the picture you can see Jebediah (who else, always took good care of him). I would later land the very same Jebediah to Moho, which required him to land on Kerbin and climb up another rocket. It worked and I landed near one of the Moholes.
How did I get it up there?
Like this:
Later, I would hyperedit this monstrosity up there, for the space-lottery-challenge (don't recall the proper name...).
This is the last image remaining of it. The rest and the whole Mission log of the original station and the Moho flight was lost during the forum crash early last year, shortly before I went totally inactive in the KSP community.
You know, once you have the capability to go anywhere, it becomes kinda boring to do so. Science and career is need, but you end up with lots and lots of asparagus anyway.
Btw, that's me on skype and steam:
Didn't change my pic here yet because I fear people won't recognize me after being inactive for two weeks

That's what it is, by the way. Sim Space Agency. Maxis would have made something like this, but Maxis was murdered.
