Why Must Server Admins Be Such Jerks?

I was playing on the -Eternity- Clan NS Server and was Aliens. We were doing quite good, but the Marines had an edge on us. So I was fighting for my fellow Aliens when i get the "Kicked by Console" Message!
I rejoin and ask, "Why was I kicked?".
Maybe they though I was being a jerk? I didnt say anything, I was acutully being quite nice to everyone.
I get this in reply: "You have been Banned from this server"
If your going to BAN someone for a reason then tell the person! Don't just BAN someone for no reason!

maybe they are having a clan war?
A DoS attack, know as a Denial of Service, is basically flooding a network to the point where legitimate users cannot access it. Ways to do this are by sending syn packets from a spoofed IP, or a simple mass packet sending.
A DDoS is the same thing, but is a force attack. Rather than use 1 or 2 machines, a hacker plants a bot or trojan that they can use to send packets. Using tens of thousands of computers it would be possible to take down even the biggest networks.

So basically what numnuts above is suggesting is attacking the server, which is of course illegal. Not to mention just plain wrong. Ill be surprised if a NS Forum admin doesnt show up here in this thread.
Less likely to happen on a dedicated server, it's also possible they were planning a newbie server, and you were disrupting the balance a bit.
That must be the most stupid thing i've ever heard. It's just plain wrong to ban someone from a server, just for playing there. It's OK if he does something wrong and break the rules, but otherwise the server admin is just retarded.
That?s what I hate about some admins. If you are doing great, then you are appreciated... as long as you are on the admin?s team...
PS. Sometimes the admins will kick someone to get in and play, nothing personnal...it is their server
[Rant]
Yup. Some admins are just immature little kids who have very little control over their own lives and have created some little vanillia server to somehow assert power over others online. I logged onto some "[Gamerz]" server and found that the marines had half as many people as the aliens, the existing marines were complete newbs, and the alien team was nothing but [Gamerz] clanners. They had all three hives, and the newbies were simply running around being killed. I'd have thought they were bots if they hadn't actually spoke to me. No one was in command, and the resources had simply accumulated to an enormous amount. I slapped myself into Comm, threw down a jetpack, HMG and a welder, jumped back out and geared myself up. Since the aliens were doing nothing more than hunting newbs, they were in no way prepared for the onslaught I had instore. I'd taken out two hives by myself before they realized what was going on. By the time I took out the third, the newbs had all but quit completely, and some decent marines had joined. Now, the tables being completely turned, the admins suddenly start whining about the teams being unfair. Bear in mind there were no complaints from admin when the marines were being owned.
So what do they do? Start kicking the people who were killing them the most, apparently in an attempt to get the server back to the way it was when I first logged on. I simply reconnected and kept coming at them with jetpack and HMG.
What's the next thing they do? An alien goes Marine and begins destroying everything in the base with a grenade launcher. We complain about the TKing and the admin claims he can't see anyone doing anything wrong. Real mature.
Some people need to grow up. They want to feel good about killing something, let them use the bots. In the end all the marines went to another server together and left the [Lamers] to play with themselves.
For those of you who claim that admins should be allowed to do this as they pay for the server, I can't agree with you. Someone who decides to try out NS and runs into nothing but these lousy servers because all the good ones are full get a bad taste in their mouth and dislike the game. If there isn't already, there should be some form of blacklist on servers such as these.
Summary
If you're going to admin, do it responsibly. You may support the server, but you didn't make the game. The NS team made the game so the community who enjoys it could have fun, not so you could overcompensate for something else. Administrate as you're obligated to do so or you don't deserve to run an any server at all.

Thats your opinion and you are entitled, however you are not entiltled to play on a server just because it exists. A server op can kick/ban you for any reason or no reason at all. It can be because you cheated, because you swore, because you are a azzhole or just because they dont like you or whatever the server op chooses. The sooner you learn that is not your god-given right to play anywhere you choose the easier it will be for you in the long run.
I consider a server a extension of the server ops home and I act accordingly while I am there. If a homeowner does not like me for any or no reason at all he can kick me out of his home at will. I dont have to like it I just have to do it. And so it is with everyone else. YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO PLAY ANYWHERE YOU WISH. BEING ON A SERVER IS NOT A RIGHT, IT IS A PRIVLEGE.
Going around protecting this kind of admin behavior is just plain wrong.
Are you trying to say that a server op that pays for his connection and server cannot do with it what he wishes? If so let me know if you own any property so I can tell you what to do with it. Got a nice hot rod? Say...a 67 Chevelle? I hope so because if you do I say you are not allowed to drive it and I am. In fact I say that you must turn over that nice car to me. Ive always wanted a 67 Chevelle.

Heh, I found a way to disable the swear filter, but don't tell anybody And I'm not going to prove it (right now, anyways), just trust me that I can.
Oh yeah, I was gonna talk about the topic, too. I disagree, Teufel you bad, bad swearing person (I'm such a flamer! :O). If a server is made public, it should be made fair or hacked to death by some pissed-off decent player. The server itself isn't public, but the Internet and NS is. Next you'll be saying people have the right to cheat on public servers because its their client-side software. I think not.

Heh... this was almost a one-word post, but I caught myself.
I agree. Well put, old boy!
A server op holds no resposibilty to the player whatsoever. His server his rules. Dont like it? Dont play there. Simple. There are no rules written in stone somewhere detailing what server ops are allowed to do and what they are not allowed to do. Plz show me the Rules for NS Server Admins put forth by the NS team. Oh wait! You cant because there is no such thing! Gee I wonder why that is?
Because people like you support them?
Of course they *can* do it, that doesn't mean they should. I can log onto an NS server and blow up the CC as a marine, that doesn't make that right either. Playing the game isn't a right, joining a server isn't either, and neither is admining! Just because it isn't illegal doesn't mean they have the right to do it.
It's nettiquite. It's respect. It's just straight out not being a complete and total jackass and having the maturity to interact with the players without having to abuse the power that you have at your disposal. Maybe if someone actually started removing servers from a list of servers "Approved non-moron", people would administrate a little better. I'd add the admin's WONID to a blacklist of community-wide player bans too.
