Since hydras are free, killing them as marine is pointless, it's a waste of time, ammo and medpacks. What you need to do is to completely ignore them if they are not in a crucial area, sprint past them, hunt and kill the gorge.
Still in most situation it's a waste of time and resources, just ignore them and go for the gorge and the rts. It's a bit like biting power nodes, it doesn't cost anything to the opposite team.

I want the Fade to be given an ability that, when used, makes the Fade exclaim in a comical voice "ITS RAPING TIME". Then, the fades face will be changed to that of the SHOOP DA WOOP dude, and he will teleport into the ready room, being able to kill anybody in there. This ability is unique, and the other team has nothing like it, and therefore is good.
I hope this gives you an idea as to why your argument above is not logical.

Nice straw man. Except the difference is one was something that was already implemented and was working fine, and <u>the developers reason</u> for changing it was because no other players spend PRes for 'abilities'

And that's a big problem I think. Hydras are so weak that even if you retreat as soon as you spot a lone marine, he can sprint past them and kill you instead. That's why I think a chargable spit that would do more damage, slow more, get some splash and get "heavier" the longer you charge would be a good thing.
