*sniffle* Excuse me, I'm currently suffering from 'How-do-you-people-build-better-bases-then-me?' syndrome...
... but then again, you lot all probably suffer it as well, when looking at other people's, 'Oh, my god what he's got is so much better than what I've built...'

Latest pet project of mine - a compact and simple base with no frills.
I am going to miss the ability to build a room into the ground...
Interior shots under a cut below, there's quite a few of them. This base was built on creative, because I wanted to experience living in a base without the lights on... and it is a glorious experience, both during the night and day. Also, it turned out creepvine works perfectly fine as desk lamp.
this is my base in the safe shallows and creepvine forest
this is the surface level with a solar farm and above surface observation
subsurface level 1 has a double level critter containment for large critters and scanner room/ office and can be considered as the science level/ entry level as you can access the ladders to the surface level and subsurface level 2
subsurface level 2 can be considered the habitation level from subsurface level 1 you come to the kitchen/ galley then from the galley you can go to the bedroom and workshop
from the workshop you can access the moon pool and a ladder to a storeroom.
from the storeroom you can clime a ladder back to the shop or down to a corridor leading to desalination plant, fish hatchery and outdoor flora farm
this is my 77nd base I think that I have built in the same location and so far is my favorite so far
I haven't posted a base in some time, been waiting on enough updates to make it worth it. I've several bases spread throughout various biomes, but this one is my most developed.
The following was done in Freedom mode with "nocost" & "fastbuild" being used. I used "F6" to disable HUD and all links go to the fullsize 4k originals. I'll start with the teaser, and put the rest in spoiler tags to reduce forum lag.
Hope you enjoy:
Sunrise on the Stranded
Cpt. Quarters
The Captain's Quarters. Above water level for the view. On the right are the Mess Hall on the lowest level, Green House above, and Lab on the top floor.
The Mess Hall, complete with Coffee Maker that we have no coffee beans for.
The Green House for all your nutritional needs.
The Lab, where we do the things they make movies and video games about.
On the left are the Living Quarters above, and Storage below.
The lower level presents storage and utility.
The upper level provides living quarters and office.
The Aurora model and Cutefish are the only things I spawned using codes, everything else was found in the world.
Inbetween we have a small Observation area surrounded by examples of the local Flora.
Below Sea Level
Moving below water we have the Aquarium and exterior Green House.
Top floor of the Aquarium is the Relaxation Room.
The three story Aquarium is filled with one of every hatchable or catchable aquatic lifeform.
Moving on from the Aquarium, we have our Scanner Room, Water Treatment Center and Docking.
A daylight view, showcasing the crashed Lifepod 17 in the background.
No shortage of filtered water and salt.
Off the Docking Bay is the Recycling Center.
This particular Dock is stationed just above a small volcano, and houses "Squeaky" (my Cyclops is named "Wubbadub" for that Rubber Ducky theme) and pictures of my various adventures.
Between Solar Panels and Thermal Generators, the base peaks at a power level of 2000.

Hey everyone,
I'm currently making a pretty damn nifty (in my humble opinion) Bio-luminescent cave base, deep below the Mushroom forest. The cave is littered with Grue Clusters, providing a very calming blue light in the caves. There are no creatures, thus I will be adding a few Hoverfish or Peeper and the like to spice up the caves and make them a little more alive. The base will be made in Hardcore and it won't be overly large, despite this, it will still look very nice when finished (once again, my humble, arrogant opinion ). Would any of you be interested in some images? If you are, I will upload some along with the coordinates of this cave if you're interested in building there yourself
Thanks!
I know we're going to be losing the Multipurpose Room at the start of the Game so, as a test, I slapped together the tiniest base in the Universe. Presenting... the Bolt Hole. How much can you fit in just a T-Section? As it turns out: quite a lot!
Update: After a bit of tinkering (I wish they would add more "placement points" for things!) I managed to jam a Medkit Fabricator Box next to the battery charger.
... Would any of you be interested in some images? ...
Of course we're interested! That sounds like a really neat place!
Those look great Coranth! Still fairly enamored with the tiny bases still and the bolt hole fits the bill perfectly!
Still haven't got around to finishing the big base and am already distracted with mini-research bases that will dot the sea bottom. This is the design I came up with.
"The Habitubble is a compact sea base with a focus on self-sufficiency while guaranteeing a great view without sacrificing viewing. The Habitubble is a single mp room on a single foundation, making it nearly the smallest design in Subsurvival's (tm) inventory. Despite its small size the Habitubble houses 180 storage slots, self-contained power in the form of a bioreactor, space for 4 large and 4 small plants, a 270 degree view of the surrounding environment, a mini-office, mini-kitchen, a resting area and is even fully equipped with fabrication equipment to meet your survival needs.
Being so small it is also quite cheap, requiring a measly 70ish titanium, 18 glass, 11 quartz, 3 computer chips, 2 copper wire, a wiring kit, lubricant, and a lithium. Get yours today!

That little bubble is awesome!
Thanks for the reply, I will be finishing my base soon and uploading the images (I'm nuts with decorating, so it's taking a while)

The way you use some of the space in your base is awesome! I might contribute to this post soon...

Would it be safe to assume you love solar panels? :P
Awesome base btw!
Wow! Great work! Good luck with your decorating

@Frraksurred I'm pretty sure you meant "local flora". Nice base though.

This is what i came up with so far, the adowable little base i'm currently working on ^ ~ ^
