If you have ever played with a person named Pee Pee Boy then you know you'll need the mute button, I swear I tryed to figure it out for a good 15 minutes of mario music and hearing him scream cuss words before I quit. Now I can point and laugh and tell him that I cant hear him, maybe he lose intrest and stop doing it, or he'll crash the sever like he did 3 times <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> ANYWAY I LOVE YOU

Just as a note to everyone... I've been noticing a minor glitch with my quick-fix script that I'm in the process of correcting. Basically, if your right-click-menu won't work after using this effect, go into your scoreboard, and left-click once, then close the scoreboard. (Hold tab, left-click, release tab for me) and it seems to clear up the problem.
Apparently a bit more info that might help Flayra, is the popup menu seems to be fighting for some status bit that the toggleeditps wants as well.
This doesn't seem to work at all for me <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> I still can't bloody mute <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I ran into Pee Pee Boy again last night/this morning. It was very pleasurable to mute him. I also told everyone in the server that there is a fix out for the mute. Many ppl were pleased. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

We were playing in Caged in a small 5 on 5 game. While we were trying to push toward sewers, there was an uncontained skulk chomping away at the CC and becoming quite annoying to the commander (who wasn't me for once). The commander told us ::get back here now:: and logged out. After Disposing of the skulk, the commander looked back at the CC and found a new marine inside. [HSS]CobraCommander If memory serves. CobraQueer then recycled all our structures. All except for the CC itself. Most of us were assaulting the Node room outside of sewers and died at the lack of commander support. We had no respawn. To make matters worse, the **obscenity** blew all our RPs by dropping a zillion healthpacks in some far off hive location. He then jumped out of the CC and proceeded to tell us to "give up" and "bow to his commanding might" and how we should "praise his llama power". We ended up rebuilding... as soon as we got a T-fac up we were bilebombed out of existance. Most of us were too bust trying to mute the **obscenity**.
Here is where my suggestion comes in. Each map should have a room that you cannot reach. It's info_location should be hell. If I had the option that's where I'd give him a waypoint to go.

I cant be bothered to read all this everyone im sorry if this has been said, i have found a much simpler way of muting, hold right click, press F4 then look at scoreboard, and mute away!
Simpler than just clicking on the offenders name? Nope I dont think so. If you had read other posts in this thread you would see that there is a autoexec script available which makes the muting of others very simple.
Actually the code posted so far, while it does allow you to bring up the cursor to mute players, if not used very carefully will mess up the in-game menu system. I've perfected the code so that there's no chance you'll mess up your menus. It looks a little complicated, but it gets the job done (considering there are no <i>if/else/endif</i> statements in aliases <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> ). Add the following to your <b>autoexec.cfg</b> and bind <b>+scores</b> to a key (for example <i>bind tab +scores</i>).
alias scorestogon "toggleeditps;alias -scores scorestogoff;-showscores" alias scorestogoff "bind mouse1 +attack;-showscores"
alias +scores "bind mouse1 fixmute;+showscores;" alias -scores "scorestogoff"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2--> PS - For those who are interested, the problem with the code posted so far is that it was not written to make sure that the <i>toggleeditps</i> function is called an even number of times. If it is called an odd number of times then the cursor remains enabled which interfers with the in-game menu. The code above makes sure that <i>toggleeditps</i> is called exactly twice provided that the user clicks the mouse button while viewing the scoreboard (once when they click the mouse button and again when the release the scoreboard key), otherwise it's not called at all.

Muting, was needed asap.. fear not, solution found! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Steps: Go bind a key to this command: <span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><b>toggleeditps</b></span> (ex.) <b> bind ins toggleeditps</b>
Now, when you hit this key (or type it in) you get the magical missing cursor! It will remove itself if you pop up the scoreboard and let go. So...
- Hit the insert key (as bound above) and hold tab. - Click once or twice on the name.. - If nothing happens, repeat the process! A second time ALWAYS does the charm for me. (release tab, hold tab, press insert, dbl-click until you can highlight the name) - You then will have full MUTING CAPABILITY!

"Move to your waypoint, soldier"
good idea.
Im tired of a certain obnoxious 1 year old who keeps flaming me everytime he sees me on a server.
"mmmm why do we have 6 gorgs?"
"because you lame"
And other "pearls of wisdom".....
Admin says its not against the rules to flame someone -.-
