Subnautica needs more things to go in the paper doll UI. Here are some ideas.
Helmets:
Night Vision Helmet: See at night and in caves.
Oculus DNA sample

Biological Interaction Visor: Shows you if a creature or plant is edible or hostile, warns you when going into the range of predator, and tells you if a creature is dead or not.

Base Notifier: Tells you if your base has been attacked or something happens at the base it was crafted at. Can only be crafted at sea base or Cyclops.

Moon Belt: Gives you the gravity of the moon of the earth so you can lift things easily. While equipped, you can jump higher, high capacity tanks and lots of inventory does not affect your weight, and you go up to the surface faster.

Webbed Gloves: Faster swimming, slower item use(swing knife slower, weld things and cut things open slower, et cetera.)

Dextrous Gloves(Need a better name): Do everything hand related faster(swing knife, cut open doors, get a stasis rifle charge shot, dig sand, wind up before using the terraformer, et cetera) but slower swimming.

Metal Gloves: If nothing is equipped and you left click you punch and do damage. Slows you down a bit.

Fishtail fins: Fins that are connected together. Swim fast, turn slower, can't go on land.

Nuclear Gill Suit(maybe tank slot): Takes oxygen out of the water around you and feeds it into your body. It has "battery" shown at the bottom of the screen that must be refilled by "consuming" Uranium. Is very heavy.
