They're there now, just not when I last played. I don't really go deep into the Dunes anymore, just the outskirts at most. I've got Silver to last me for days, and the Dunes really don't offer much to me anymore and likely never will now. The little precursor cache at the meteor site is cute and all, but that's a Visit-and-Forget sort of thing, hardly something that makes you want to go back there for repeat visits (like the ILZ entrance did...)
Wait, wait, wait... Is this actually happening? They're making Phantom Leviathan animations... If I could go back in time and tell myself four months ago that we'd even have just a model for the creature I wouldn't have believed myself, but here we are...
Anything's just a moment away from being cut at any given time, a morbid thought indeed. Hopefully it makes it in though, even if it's not ready at launch.

*cough*What was that you typed? I-*cough* *cough I can't see anything on my console because of all this smoke...*cough*

Fire in space and dealing with fire in space is extremely different from our conventional knowledge of fire due to the lack of gravity. So a fire in the Cyclops would be extremely different from a fire in a Lifepod if it was drifting in space instead of crashing into an ocean.
Also, make quickslots bindable with drag and dropped is being worked on.
While they're at it, could we have more quickslots, perhaps additionally 6 through 9? By the time I'm building a base in the Grand Reef I have more tools than I have slots for, and have to swap out tools in my 1 and 5 slot repeatedly by this point. We can carry so many tools and items on our person at any time, so it stands to reason that we could have more than 5 tools available for easy access.
I like the new design, but I'd prefer if it'd show numbers. I like the numbers, they're more precise.
I like the new design also, but I have two comments about it: The current display with the numbers is far more useful, even if you *shouldn't* know exact values. Couldn't they just put number values where the cute icons are? Only new-time players need to know what each gauge is for, after that you know what each reading corresponds to.
My second question is, does the new display account for when the thermometer gauge is added? It seems odd to have a 'clover' design for a large portion of the early game, only to have to accommodate a new design for a 5th gauge wheel. Sure, the current HUD does just that, but adding a 5th line below 4 existing lines isn't quite a dramatic change to a design layout.

You never know it could be coded to place X icons in an equally distant radial fashion, of which X would currently be 3. If done correctly adding another "bar" could be as simple as increasing the size of the for loop in charge of placing the icons.
Some new stuff regarding the cyclops.
It isn't on Trello (as far as i know) But i still thought it was cool and wanted to share.
I didn't want to say it before, to avoid a landslide of disagrees and just overall hatred... but I never really liked the cyclops. It was slow, it was clumsy and the aesthetics bored me. I didn't really feel it was good as a mobile base, but I always made one. I never spent that much time in it.
But...
Not anymore, though! That's so cool! Look at all those buttons! And what's that beacon out there at the end of it? It sort of looks like a cyclops beacon, but I'm not sure. It's got rings around it, which is cool.
Yeah but I just hope that we will be able to turn things off via toggle or something. There is many times where I would just want the glass to be blank like how it is now, so I can see things.

I think that's a radar.
Probably linked with the noise level stuff they're planning to add, You can see what looks like a signal meter in the bottom left.

Seems like we haven't heard the last about this little guy.

"Cause of death"
Smoke inhalation and burnt alive, underwater.
Dang that is beautiful.

WOW.
It looks like the Cyclops will be getting a major overhaul in the next few updates.
It looks absolutely amazing.
