REMOVE ABILITY FOR KNIFE TO DAMAGE BASE
I really hope this is an unintended feature that the devs simply haven't gotten around to rather than an intentional design decision. It is far too easy to accidentally cut holes in your base with the knife when harvesting plants. This is unrealistic, immersion breaking, and extremely annoying. Please fix this ASAP.
I've done some testing in Experimental and it appears you can no longer damage the base from the inside with a knife. And that was with the Thermoblade.
I just loaded up my savegame in the latest experimental build [48081], and my survival knife was still able to damage the base.

I just did the same and can confirm my Thermoblade now damages the base as well. What's weird is that I swung it exactly where I'd swung the blade before and not had damage. Nevermind, being able to damage the base with a knife is definitely true.
At least when I reap Marblemelon on the bridge of my Cyclops, I don't damage it. For now.
I perfer being able to damage my base with a knife. I like flooding them sometimes to make my own abandon base. It is s lot faster with the knife than the repulsion cannon

Think they could make it so you don't damage your base when you're inside an Alien Containment Pool gathering farmed plant parts?

Howabout this: using a knife, base cannot be damaged from inside but can be damaged from outside.
