Looks very nice Flayra, and nice map too Greedo. However one thing kinda irks me...
*edit* Shat didn't notice it wasn't 4 seperate photos, but just one large one*
how come you arn't using all those purty animations i've seen my model viewer? Those animations are absolutly orgasmic. It sure would be a shame to see them go to waste.
(and if you don't see what i'm talking about look at the gorge in the third picture. Its jumping and spitting and doesn't look like it has moved at all)

All that coolness just to watch a bunch of marines bounce up and down wherever they go. Bounce up and down when they are being attacked. Bounce up and down when they are attacking. I dont care about eta's on versions as much as i like reading daily or weekly updates, but lacking in both areas causes people to get a little bored and irritable.

One question I have is, will you be able to spectate the commander view? Like see everything the commander is seeing inclduing his mouse pointer and menus?
There are a few reasons why this would be useful. First is that it would prevent commanders using aimbots to drop healthpacks on marines in the field (which in a clan ladder situation is bound to happen in wars) . Also it will be interesting to see how the commander plays given the information he gets through his view, see when he starts to tech and where he is ordering his marines to move to.... Lastly it would allow the teaching of new players to NS on how to commander effectively with realtime tutorials.
i wouldnt like that minimap on my screen, it would annoy the heck out of me way too much, its bad enough that the muzzle flash from the LMG is too big and you loose sight of skulks, now this? ahhh...... try and bind it on a key, so we can bring it up and down as we wish .
and i really shouldnt suggest taking out bhoping, i mean atleast LET US JUMP, i get bored with games way too fast when they have restrictions.
but thats just my 2 cents, i really dont care what you guys do about it :-P

GetLit: The mini-map in those shots is just a flat sprite created by using "dev_overview 1" to get an overhead shot of the whole map. It's not the same thing as the commander's overhead map, and it won't cause any undue framerate drop issues.
Paykan: The minimap only appears for spectators, so having it obscure the screen and causing problems while fighting is not an issue, because people in the actual game can't access it.
As for bunnyhopping, I can't speak for the NS dev team, obviously, but I wouldn't imagine they'd take out jumping, they'll probably just lower the max speed cap so that there's no advantage to bunnyhopping, or something like that.
Nothing like a new set of screenies to get the juices flowing

Where if we specate in game we can hltv features like overview map displaying your team's locations.

so yay to HLTV news! those screens look great.
But yeah, will we be able to spectate the commander? That would just be AWESOME!
