Yeah, but at the time, the nodes had about half the hitpoints they currently do. (:

As for Hera's landing pad - don't hold your breath. The VIS concerns are too high now that the MS opens into the warehouse.

The urge to playtest eventually dissipates when you realize that the gloating playtesters will get tired of the game by the time it's in your hands.

Map playtesting is in progress, code playtesting was delayed because that slacker Flayra dared to get a real life <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Heh, Fam's basic Playtest career seems to have been "Try and crash the server" from what he's talked about in IRC <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

If you love just playing NS, by all means, don't be a playtester. You'll hate it, and you won't be adding anything. PT'ing isn't being "elite" and getting to play something before others, its about caring so much about the project that you're willing to spend hours of <u>work</u> to make something better, and to withstand Monse's verbal abuse from when you post too many bugs ^_^

Playtesting is tedious and boring at times. As everyone from eve knows, including myself. It has to be done and it should be considered and honor and a privledge to do so, while also beating the hell out of the game. I love finding bug, mistakes, and inconsistancies, and i hope the entire PT team can be as exhuberant about it and release 1.1 at the best possibly condition it can be in. There should litterally be a level of perfectionism in it.

Playtesting almost anything will hurt your fun when the real game is done. There's always some 'sweet spot' in the line of patches where you say "THIS is it, THIS is perfect!" and then next week, bam, new patch, all gone =P I've beta'ed many a game, such as Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, TSO, There, and even my own HL mod. Let me tell you, that was the worst part. I'd code something, love it to then, but then realize that it just had to go =( Sniff... sniff...
