1) Funkadelic

The only people other than James Brown who have a realistic claim on "inventing the funk". Waaay ahead of their time, largely unknown outside America. Bizarre.

Bollocks - everyone I know knows about them. I don't know what sort of people YOU hang around with. Surely not just internet kids???

I'd nominate: Fushitsusha (and Keiji Haino, mainly), Watchmaker and MASONNA.

::esuna:: , this is out for you:

Ah Cama-Sotz
Anemone Tube
Antigen Shift
Asche
Baradelan
Brighter Death Now
Con-Dom
Dissecting Table
Dubok
Grunt
Hazard
IRM
Janitor
Kiew
Kreptkrept
Lockweld
Namanax
Navicon Torture Technologies
Needle Sharing
Qntal
Sleep Research Facility
Soma
Streicher
STROM.ec
Sutcliffe Jügend
Szkieve
The Grey Wolves
Xanopticon

All these bands have international distribution. If I were a grade A ***hole, I could have listed local bands, but where would the fun be in that?

And concerning offensive material: nothing ever beats Sutcliffe Jügend. Nothing.

You sounds like you're a Genocide Organ fan

Noise fan then?

EDIT: Also, if you're into stuff like Brighter Death Now, Try "SUNN O)))". The ultimate in ambient power drone

Genocide Organ? No, not with a ten-foot pole. I like my power electronics decently produced.

The mention of Aesma Deva on your list kept harrassing me all the time. "Why is that band so familiar? I haven't bought it, I haven't downloaded it, so why?". After Googling for answers, it became a bit too obvious. Aesma Deva is just the kind of stuff that gets random play on the gothic/industrial clubs in Finland, so I've probably seen it on one dj playlist or other. Now my head doesn't hurt anymore

And yes, my diet is partly noise-based, rhythmic or otherwise. Actually, almost any kind of electronic music will do, as long as it's well-crafted.
