you can say that people are red meat because of horror movies, but keep in mind the terms red meat and white meat refer to post-cooked colors. uncooked chicken is pink, uncooked pork is pink, but both turn white and then brown. hence, WHITE MEAT. but cow is red then turns reddish brown, so it is RED MEAT. the reason no knoe knows is because even if doctors see uncooked flesh all the time it is rarely seen fried properly. burn victims char and whatnot, i mean cooked properly like hannibal style.
im gonna go with NeedDirections bi-color theory because it sounds the msot supported, and DuBERS 90% white theory. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> aye, I think you got the non-scientific definition of red and white meat covered there (...so, cooked human is red then? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->)

uh... just posting this link is bound to get me banned. i guess i won't post it. it has something to do with disgusting things, and a hint word is "rot" if you figure it out, you can just say you figured it out. we dont want little 12 year olds looking at that kind of stuff. you can see all different shades of human flesh there, though. prepare to barf.
Ok with the race thing youre probably all thinkin blacvk and white, but what about native americans and asians? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Skin colour is dependent on a chemical called melanin. The more melanin you have in your skin, the darker your skin and eyes will be. Albino's have almost no melanin, therefore, they are pale and have barely coloured irises. People that have darker skin will have more melanin, therefore their skin appears black and their eyes are consequently brown. Asians and europeans have differing itermediaries of this chemical in their skin, and can differ heavily from where you come from.
Melanin is a chemical that protects the body from harsh sunlight, it is the bodies natural sunblock. It has no bearing on the colour of human flesh as Melanin is not present in human flesh, only the skin.
All meat with blood will appear to be red. Drain the blood, and cows meat looks red. Chicken meat will appear pink, and will turn white on cooking. Pork will also appear pink and will turn white on cooking (the exception is bacon, which remains pink). Pig flesh is closely related to human flesh, therefore human meat in all probability will be white.
From an evolutionary stand point, it makes sense. We evolved from apes, the apes in turn evolved from chimpanzees. Basically, all primates have to be quick and agile, this agility demands fast acting muscles, the white muscle fibres spoken of before. The preference of white muscle fibre over red has been passed on through the generations. We are more suited to sudden spontaneous activity then we are to continous hard slogs. An example is the kangaroo, which can hop across many miles of barren desert without tiring. Their muscles are mostly red in nature, simply becuase the kangaroo favours endurance acitivities over sudden burst activities.
Each person is born with an amount of red and white muscle fibres. Depending on family history and genetics (independent of race) you can be born with 90/10 ratio of white/red muscle fibres, or 30/70 ratio. The more white muscle fibre you have, the quicker you will be on short quick activities (such as boxing, not sure, may be a bad example), the more red muscle fibres you have, the better you will be at running marathons and such. You cant change the ratio of muscle fibres, but you can strengthen them.

does anyone have a definition of what 'meat colour' is based on? im guessing its somthing more complex than simply colour (i mean, beef aint red right?), or am i being numb? it would certainly help us decide what meat colour humans are.. and as for the race aspect, dont be daft <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->, i think in the little known catagory of human meat type, we are all the same, ahhh, what a pleasent harmonic thought.

In short -> Human meat is white
