<div class="IPBDescription">Omg run for your lives!</div> If anyone has seen the new British horror film "28 Days" You know what I mean.
For those of who havnt seen it, if you like a scary movie see this.
With out giving away any spoilers Ill just say what can be seen from the trailer.
Blood borne viral infection. When you get it you turn into a mindless zombie intent on infecting/ killing anything you see.
And trust me, Im not talking about slow dumb Resident Evil style zombies either. These are just as fast and nimble as normal uninfected people. These zombies make the Resident Evil ones look like pansy "n00bcaeks".
Oh the horror. And gore too. Most reviews give it an 8 out of 10 but see it for your self anyways.

Sorry, have to say that, but i have a habit of letting things slip occasionally.
I liked this film, saw it a few months back, it was refreshing to see zombies portrayed in a slightly better light. The script, story any everything was great except the end. I won't go into it, but it just seemed like such an anti-climax to me. It was totally forgettable and made me wonder what the point of watching it was.
Nevertheless, it was a good film for the greater part of it.
**END OF CRAP POST**
This was the worst, "Zombie" movie I've seen. For one the the "Zombies" weren't even zombies, just REALLY crazy people.... WHAT THE HELL!? And they think... wow, bad. Also, there's about 15 Zombie's in total in the movie, and you hardly get to see them. Then when they found "Sanctuary", that just made the movie worse. And the ending was pretty aweful too. I didn't like it somewhat before they go to the "Sanctuary."
Maybe I'll check it out this weekend. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I live in the US so its New over here. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
the preview had me jumping in my seat (I <b>hate</b> scary movies) I might force myself to see it...
This movie doesnt CLAIM to be a zombie film, its just been heralded that by many of the viewers. I believe its fine to call them zombies, even though they may not fall into the same classification as Romeros zombies (these ones are fast, powerful and seriously **** off whereas Romeros just kinda wander around) even though its more a post apocolypse movie. It also kinda reminded me of "Dawn Of The Dead" but that was prolly just because of the Supermarket scene. When they find the soldiers the movie takes turn to a commentary on society, and also reflects that those we rely on as our saviours and protectors (The Army) are only human like us and suffer from the same needs, and failings.
And The very ending of the film with the huge banner...seems the most logical thing to have done really, the rest of the world isn't completely wiped out like England, and they'll ahve possibly gotten hold of a few escapees who were possibly infected..so they'll have an idea as to how long they live, so looking for any survivors would seem the least they could do ;p
Dude! I love that book! It is teh pwn!
I ought to see it at some point I suppose but the only Horror film I can say I've really enjoyed is Event Horizon.......
I have that movie, it is the BEST EVER! OMG SPACE ALIENZ FROM ABOVE! Teh Plantz0rs, they killz0r us all. Ohnos!
But yeah, seriously, 28 days sounds like the movie to get me to pay my obligatory "summer flick" fee to.
My god man, you haven't lived!
For the past few months now myself and a friend have been renting as many crap horrors as possible. Old splatter and gore movies, and basically anything with a budget less than a pack of cigarettes. These are absolutely class, in every single way. You get pure comedy gold, blood, horrendous acting, crap music and the whole thing recorded on a Super-8 camcorder.
I can recommend films like "Skinned Alive", "Killjoy", "The Burning", "Jigsaw" and a whole other array of movies that by simply looking at the box you KNOW they're going to suck. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

your a very twsited man esuna...
lol
i cant stand those kinds of movies...
ill tlel you a good(ish) horror movie..
'Brotherhood of the wolf'
it is a REALLY good plot and story... the ONLY thing stoppijng it from being a 9/10 smash..
it is french*...and dubbed over in english... VERY well dubbed but none the less dubbed it just seems to take away the full effectiveness of the movie...
*when i say french i mean that in NOT an offensive way merely as a reference to the dubbing...
Cool, i'll see if i can pick it up. Aformentioned mate works in Blockbusters so he gets a load of free rentals a week, which we waste on cheap tacky horrors <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
***SPOILERS***
Well the virus was called RAGE, so think about it are these infected going to be sad or angry?
Still it was quite good. Oh and as usual animal activists start havoc.

They should make a virus called Apathy. Would make a great biological weapon.
ROLF
How about happynes, oh wait we had that in the 60s with the hippies.
This Movie Kicked ****! But seriously, I found the movie GhostShip more untasteful than 28 days later simply because of that begging "wire" scene, chills. 28 days later was gory but not as bad since it was all flashy and camera movement.
The **** car alarm was scariest part of movie, lol! Gotta admit, the movies pretty ****** up but for some reason I liked it even though I'm not really a horor fan.
Oh and yes, the rest of the world is perfectly fine. The jet pilot in the end "does" see them with the banner but ignores them because he is just checking up on the infestation and quarantine <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
The whole military portion of the movie was quite tense because your liek, "OMG THESE GUYS ARE SUPPOSED TO SAVE US!? THEY ARE JUST AS CRAZY AS INFECTED PEOPLE"
What I didn't understand is why the main character killed the one runt Soldier, The one that was in an apron and was made fun of all the time. Honestly I felt a bit sorry for that guy and didn't deserve to be killed by a bayonet <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
All in all, just a crazy movie. Oh yeah, anyone else gets freaked out in the church scene where he asked "hello?" and only two of the dead bodies turn up quickly and just make a stiff blank stare?
<i>Commie</i> hippies.
The movie would have been alright if it hadn't been so ultimately stupid. Let me elaborate: Zombies don't eat zombies because...umm...because...ummm....? It would have been much better if Zombies would attack each other and then only the strongest ones would be alive. Whole London would be full of corpses all around and living Zombies only here and there. That would maybe take away part of the suspense but I still hate that kind of stuff in movies.
Btw: the jetfighter that flew above them in the end was finnish and they were talking finnish <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I do exactly the same thing with Sci-fi. Tbh with such a low budget, the line between Sci-fi and horror is often blurred (as with Event Horizon...hmm....although that wasn't low budget...erm....anyway)
When Mrs Beast and I rent a vid, we get one big budget, good plot job, and one horrendously bad budget classic.
I remember spotting my old Amiga joystick on a 23rd century freighter in one. hehehe. Occaisionally you do find a real nugget amongst the dross, but more often than not, you get acting more wooden than the set....
Note the "I enjoyed"
I am one of a few group of people who liked Event Horizon. The whole setting was superb. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Sci-Fi but with a horror edge.
But Event Horizon is one of those films, you either love it or you hate.
Personally I loved it!

I love Event Horizon also, but it's one of the more "commercial" horrors out there.
Favourite bit's got to be the video clips they find of the previous inhabitants of the ship.

More Guns = More People who can Defend Themselves if Zombies Attack.
Think About It.
I few things I noticed:
The audio was terrible. But I'm assuming it was a low budget film so I overlooked it and went for the story.
The film has a decidedly European feel. This isn't a bad thing, but I'm not sure how it will pass in the U.S. My girlfriend and I went to see this as opposed to The Hulk in the hopes that it wouldn't be busy. Unfortunately, we were completly surrounded by high school kids (no offense). I knew we were in for a treat after the constant giggling when the lead character was introduced.
It isn't a zombie film and that's how it's being pushed in the U.S. Regardless, I liked the way they didn't waste time with some ridiculous story about how the virus was introduced. Nasty virus=bad news - bring on the gore!
I was really impressed with the way they cleared so much of the cities. If most of that was CG I didn't notice.
The <i>Planet of the apes</i> type twist was a real bonus. I didn't expect it at all.
I liked the way the "zombies" would wig out and flail everywhere.
I'd recommend this as at least a good rental.
Can someone PM me the 'twist' ending?
EDIT
Yes, I'm cheap and lazy. So lazy I won't even bother downloading it. I'm that lazy.
I must commend you on your clever usage of the word "wig".
I'm a hip cat. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->
