In Britain, guns are terribly restricted. Hence, you can't fight flesh eating zombies off if they attack. Try to pull that move in America, BLAMMO! Goodbye Zombie Torso. :-)

Uh yeah but what is the likelyhood that these so called "Zombies" will ever turn up?

My only question is: If it happened in Merka, would anyone notice? People going mad and attacking each other for no good reason? Welcome to downtown LA.

Well, if you meant Oakland, I can totally see that. GG Raiders post-season losses == rioting, looting.

zombies dont have to be dead...
who said a zombie have to be dead to be a zombie?
never read about voodoo rituals? punishing murders and other bad doods with giving them drugs so their vitalfunctions are so low they apear to be dead first.after a while they come back to normal.only their brain goes offline <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> they stay in a kind of wake coma.. missionars have telled wheird voodoo storys about walking dead ppls..and rituals where they reanimate corses and stuff... thats one source why zombies HAVE to be dead..lol <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Dude I went to Event Horizon thinking it was a sci-fi movie, not a horror movie. And I was a kid. That majorly sucked <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> I didnt wimp out though, got my moneys worth and managed to sit through it with my eyes closed most of the time <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

28 Days Later was filmed with a handheld camera and financed by the director entirely from what I understand. Thats what gives it the "shot with a handheld camera feel".

    Half-Life would make a good horror/sci-fi movie, with Tony Danza as Gordon Freeman <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    *** SPOILERS ***

Just watched the film yesterday. R0xx0r! The "on your toes"-feeling when getting through town, you didn't know when a pack of infected nutcases would come down screaming and wailing. The desperate situation at the mansion (held prisoner by both your enemies and your saviours). A cool, dry, British style to it all.

The fighter pilot in the end: Indeed, he is talking Finnish. But he isn't "just checking up on infection/quarantine", he does see them and calls for a helicopter to pick them up. We don't have fighters like that, BTW, we fly F-18s.

However, there's one thing I didn't like, and that was how the main character suddenly managed to turn from a skinny lad into a killing machine Lord of the Flies ninja. I mean, sure, one can gain determination and courage but this guy took out several trained soldiers while avoiding zombies without blinking an eye.

    *** END OF SPOILERS ***

Event Horizon: Jesus f3ck mamma mia! This movie seriously rocks and is scary as hell. I don't think I can sleep this night since u guys reminded me of it.

    -K

Yeah it was good at never straying too far from the initial premise, and not relying on gore. A constant sense of fear throughout.

I didn't like the "Eye Drop" part. I liked his character!

Yeah, me too. But he was marked for death from the start. (I was HOPING they wouldn't do the predictable horror film thing, but noooo...)

Otherwise I thought it was an awesome movie.
