for anything else like this me thinks u should e-mail or pm me. Wasn't that hard to add them, that's what frames are for. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    Way good.
    I'm on the members page two times <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Pi Gi also
    But nice page.

maybe make the navi frame a bit smaller in width.
the top frame too, once we have a logo
    /me drags fam away.

I almost knew that was going to happen, u see for each row (i.e. for each person) i either had to right the code manualy, (and it's long) or copy and paste and the change the name. Laziness be cursed. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

***Edit***GAH!!!! My laziness didn't cause that, you posted your support both in the first thread and this thread, so your name ended up in there twice. I should kill you. <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> ***/Edit***

Noticed you added my logo in, very cool <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I'm not too sure I like the frames, I think the site would look better done with tables.
  • Sgt_XSgt_X Join Date: 2002-03-01 Member: 261Members
Frames and tables r very new to me. And that simple table i made for the members list still has me confused, i thought it was going to show up as a horrible mess. In other words i don't know why it works. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

trust me it gets a little boring if the bodies just fall down when they should get blown up..... atleast make them fly around a little <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> Or maybe just disappear, ANYTHING but please don't make it so nothing happens at all when you blow someone up....

Can anyone gimme a link to the site?

Oh, and how about making those buttons a rollover? Just basicly invert the color, use that button, than make the rollover image the ones you posted?

    Just a thought.

    Here's a tutorial: <a href="http://www.idocs.com/tags/forms/index_famsupp_107.html" target="_blank">http://www.idocs.com/tags/forms/index_famsupp_107.html</a>

Whoa. This idea has generated such a huge movement. I'm glad there are so many willing to play as a team and help everyone, Firearms has been getting frustrated lately and DoD is just ... ugh. I don't enjoy the "run out - die - run out - die - ask for cover - die" gameplay that permeates DoD, nor the CS clone that is Para gameplay. Not a scrap of teamplay.
  • Sgt_XSgt_X Join Date: 2002-03-01 Member: 261Members
The big question is, will it work once the game is actuly released.

Don't know what you're talking about. With the 'CS Clone' gameplay I've seen endless teamplay.

You must be joining the wrong servers, because every server I've joined has had full use of the mics. (for GOOD reasons) along with people giving eachother covering fire, etc. People travelling together, using voice commands.

Try a few more servers before you make a judgement. :\

DoD has teamwork about half the time, the other half, everyone is too busy TKing each other to care about playing as a team.

To get (sorta) back on topic, I'm not on the Members List  <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

Sorry Obibun, I think I've been scarred by some (lots of) bad DoD games. I haven't seen really good teamplay YET, but I'm scared to go looking after a few betas of running out and dying.
  • MonsieurEvilMonsieurEvil Join Date: 2002-01-22 Member: 4Members, Retired Developer, NS1 Playtester, Contributor
It's hard to find DoD servers with good teamplayers. But when you do, it's some of the most fun I've ever had with an online game. I wish more people would stop DMing and learn how much better mods get with teamplay on pub servers...

Tried DoD again yesterday, and I couldn't stand the way people played. I'd run out of my base to cover, poke my head out of a tiny corner to scout, and BAM!! I'd take 10 MG42 bullets in the head. No matter where I went, the MG42 would get me - there was only one, and he could track me with the ease of using the M1 carbine. He killed everyone else too. It's just too hard to even get one kill in that game, let alone play as a team, because you have these über-1337 deathmatchers who can kill anyone they can see instantly. Also, you have people who shoot through walls - I think bullets penetrate in DoD, but the <i>shooter</i> was behind the wall, not the targets, so how did he see us? Graaaargh. It's too hard to even get one kill when people are either cheating or super-deathmatchers.

Lets hope that the idea stays good even after NS is released and invaded by lamers :/

    Trust me, it always happens  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    I'll join too.[NSF]Kidzelda.
On the subject of DoD, just get an MG yourself after you find out where he is.Especially if it's Overlord (best damn map they have), because allies blend with the sand some.I'm good with grease gun and BAR as an ally, and kar 98, mp40, and mg42 as axis.

I'm sorry I dont check the General Forum that often, but I'd like to be in

But one thing. The tag ]NSF[ looks like its trying to be l33t or something, ]NSF[Anything doesnt look that good. I think a much better tag would be just "NSF-" Thus for me it would be "NSF-Tzarcon"

for the EC guys it would be NSF-[EC.Guy]

but its not my choice, just my oppinion
  • Some_tall_guySome_tall_guy Join Date: 2002-08-12 Member: 1139Members
I, Some_tall_guy, agree to the terms above or on the other page or whatever and I will probably have the nsf tag on my name '[nsf]some_tall_guy', I really dont care much if the 'nsf' tag makes it look ugly.

Please note that I have good spelling this time (someone was bugging me in my last one so I figgured I would spell correctly this time). <!--emo&:asrifle:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':asrifle:'><!--endemo-->

For the EC guys, its [EC.Guy] or [EC:Guy]. We play and interact by the specific rules of NSF, and also some rules of our own. We are promoting teamplay and interaction possibly even more than NSF, and we already have regular games to promote teamplay within the group and other IRC regulars, and we are all set up and ready to go for release.

The NSF tag would be redundant. That and I cannot stand mutliple tags. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

I lost the NSF site.. silly me,  I sent an email stating my desire to join but that was only yesterday so it probly hasnt been read yet, might I sudgest EC and NSF becoming sister clan/guilds etc. Or since it seems you already are .. make it official.. yes.. well I dont know.. *crawls into his dark corner and sits for about 6 months*

Oh yes! you should all congradulate me on my fifth post!

Good idea, but EC already have a sister clan, the totally spiffing EndGame Clan. They are our little sister. They put their hair in pigtails. As it is, EC is primarily an IRC based clan, consisting of some of the main regulars to the natural selection group of channels. The NSF seems to promote the same things as us, but in a different manner with a different meaning.

Such clan/guild politics will get us nowhere without games though, and I am certainly looking forward to testing these with our little band of faithful, and maybe a few more too.

Oh, and congratulations on your 5th post.
  • FlickFlick Join Date: 2002-08-11 Member: 1137Members
Ahh *nod* Oh well just a thought

So, your IRC based? Assuming your on gamenet would you mind giving me the channel? I might pop in and lend my support to you bunch, you know.. Idle.. make friendly jokes that relate in no way at all to the topic being talked about.. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

And wow! number 6 now! I'm really moving up in the world!
