Funnily enough its only pythons that you ever hear of in relation to dead owners/children/animals. Whether or not thats because they're the most common pet species is something I'm not sure of.

yeah ******* is an instinctual defence mechanism when animals are scared. i assume the reason for it is that it makes the animal lighter and able to escape easier and it also acts as a mine causing the predator to veer off the target to avoid running into the **** and also the smell probably makes the predator lose their appetite. i also know of a bird that dives over enemies and shits on them . so it uses its **** like a bomb weapon. and i know of another bird that projectile vomits onto enemies when it is threatened. hey maybe some good ideas for the lerk eh? btw humans have the instinct of ******* when scared also. some animals i think also have an instinct to scream when frightened to alert friends to rescue them and also to go completely stiff and not move. i saw this demonstrated perfectly for me one time when i saw a cat chasing a mouse outside. the mouse suddenly went completely still and the cat lost sight of the mouse even though it was just about one foot away from it's face. i even pointed my finger right at the mouse close enough to almost touch it and said "look, there's the mouse, get it" and the cat still couldn't see it.

actually my sister said her friend puts the mice in a bag and swings the bag at a wall a few times and then dumps the dead mice in the cage with the snake.
yeah ******* is an instinctual defence mechanism when animals are scared. i assume the reason for it is that it makes the animal lighter and able to escape easier and it also acts as a mine causing the predator to veer off the target to avoid running into the **** and also the smell probably makes the predator lose their appetite. i also know of a bird that dives over enemies and shits on them . so it uses its **** like a bomb weapon. and i know of another bird that projectile vomits onto enemies when it is threatened. hey maybe some good ideas for the lerk eh? btw humans have the instinct of ******* when scared also. some animals i think also have an instinct to scream when frightened to alert friends to rescue them and also to go completely stiff and not move. i saw this demonstrated perfectly for me one time when i saw a cat chasing a mouse outside. the mouse suddenly went completely still and the cat lost sight of the mouse even though it was just about one foot away from it's face. i even pointed my finger right at the mouse close enough to almost touch it and said "look, there's the mouse, get it" and the cat still couldn't see it.
