Yes, but they will accept Christ as Messiah before the world ends. That's the prophecy.

Don’t worry, we're mainly on the same page. The only thing that can ever judge you is yourself, when we die, even if people are all around us, we are alone in our minds. If you have lived according to your own set of guidelines, you have nothing to worry about. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Frankly, I can't see that. What if my own guidelines involve raping as many people as I can? There needs to be an absolute standard to measure yourself against, which is why God is the only one capable of judging people, because He is that absolute standard. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
There is no God but the self. If you are ready to face the consequences of your own actions then your law is absolute.

And now we are back to the morality thread.

I simply fail to see why I should correct people on matters of religion any more. Not one of you are even slightly interested in understanding what it might mean. You dont know, you dont care, you have your version and you like it because it makes you feel comfortable.

How many of you have read a decent defence of faith? How many of you really understand what the Christians are on about? I'm going to venture FEW! The constant out of context quotes, general lack of understanding of the subject as a whole and a blind faith that their simply cant be a God. And we get accused of being closed minded?

Need examples? Constant reference to "Gods going to punish me simply because I didnt believe in him, criminals will get away scot free because they say a prayer before they die, their should be levels to punishment." For crying out loud fellas, I must have posted the answers to this at least 4 times already on this board alone.

And LoL at the people who try and take the moral high ground against God. You realise that if he exists - HE SETS THE MORALS. He gets to decide what is right and wrong? The moral higher ground then God simply doesnt exist. The claim "I think he's mean" is laughable.

Religion is a philosophy that's been screwed around with by greedy and power-hungry people to make it into the laughingstock that is is now.

I think Christianity has some basic (philosophical) beleifs that can neither be proven or unproven. God exisiting is one of them. Helping others is 'good' is another (though since that is something the vast majority of society feels is right, it's more easily accepted than a beleif in god).
