<div class="IPBDescription">MWIP.....</div> how u likes..and i know the Rine Start is plain ill add more stuff later..and dont tell me about texture errors i plain on fixing those later..anyway..heres a res outside MS.and the floor(Dark Floor that is)is my texture i made it..infact ill release the wad with the map or if i run into errors ill just hand it out.. more pics coming..tell me how u like.

    Shask, a tip, build ALOT more and make it about 20% complete with architecture, lightning aso instead of giving away some pictures with plain rooms and hallways and say MAJOR WORK IN PROGRESS and think some people will actually give good comments cause you made this in 5-10 minutes.

    I do like the floor texture you put together. It looks like another good noslip surface, but with less of an industrial look than bare steel.

    As for the screens themselves...... The "light zapper" room will probably have to stay low on architecture for you to be able to make it work and stay under all of the compile limits. The room with the alien res chamber just looks awkward. I doubt anyone would put a resource nozzle there when designing a ship if the nozzle is meant for human use, it's too high up. If it's part of a machine then you'll need to put that in later. One thing you may want to look at is adding to the rooms/hallways based on their purpose. For instance the zapper room could be some kind of power system, with monitoring equipment in the room and screens in the hallway outside as well.

    Really there just isn't enough here to comment on at the moment. I know it's a work in progress but if you're going to dedicate twenty minutes at a time spend twenty minutes on one room or hallway and show us screenshots of that. It's a lot easier to comment on things that are 20-30% done instead of 5.

    I'm sorry, but there's just not enough here to comment on. You have some nice ideas though, but I'm afraid it's rather obvious you're kinda new to this mapping thang... But no matter! You'll probably get a lot of negativity when you start out, but you'll quickly learn to adapt.
    This is defenitely a lot better than most first maps i've seen.

    You really shouldn't get too upset at uffo though. He's just slightly more succinct and less diplomatic than the rest of us. (ohhhhh, five dollar word) Seriously though, it is kind of frustrating to be asked for input on something that's hard to say much about. Like I said though just take more time to detail areas before you post and you'll get a response.

    .....LIKE IN MY LAST MAP THREAD i been doing this for 4 years..since i was 8..and now im 12..Roar me devour u all hehe...and one reason it sux so far is cause i put in 5 mins to each rom and hall...i plain on making it very detailed later if i dont run into errors.

    Having to go back and re-map everything is going to cost you a lot of time. I know, I've been re-mapping a lot of my current map. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> But, once you get your layout done, it usually is better to put alot of time into each room and finished them one at a time. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    We're not trying to hate on you or your map here, but with so little to comment upon, it really wasn't worth the time or effort to post screenies. Screenshots need to tell us something and those pics tell me nothing. I think it's a great start but well it's just that - "A great start", nothing more or less.

    So I'm sorry but I just don't have anything to say about it. Also, if you want MORE feedback, post what kind of map it is: fun, combat, regular. And some details about it. Background, Gameplay gimmicks, anything fun or odd that you plan to include. Pictures say a thousand words, but sometimes... forget the pictures and just let the words do their thing until the pictures have more to say.

    Good start though.

    It looks like your off to a good start on what could become a good map.

    Right now, it defintely is in its rough draft stages as you said, but keep working with it, can't wait to see the first hive room you'll make =)

    Whats the maps concept? What are you aiming for? Keep up the good work =)

    The map aint anything amazing or special. Its just all used on 3 textures. Its just boring looking.

    You really shouldn't have posted something that isn't indicative of your skill. People will respond to what they see, and what they see is not pretty, so they'll expound upon that. You can say Work In Progress until you're blue in the face, but people will still respond to what they see, since it's the only thing they can respond to.
