I can't possibly describe how angry I am right now.

I hope Grady Little never gets another job in baseball. He handed that win to the Yankees.

WHY TRY TO PUSH PEDRO FOR EIGHT FULL INNINGS WHEN YOUR BULLPEN HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING?!?!?!?!

Pedro pitched a great seven. Embre, then Timlin, then Wililamson. How many games had that formula worked for?

    Grady, you suck. Die.

    ownt-ed.

That was a great finish though, it'll be interesting to see if the World Series is as evenly matched.

So, then, the other day, I realized that watching baseball ( on tv, and for real) is one of the more boring things you could see. Apparently, a close up cam on the pitchers every 5 seconds isn't exciting.

Groan.... Yankees vs Marlins in the world series. Could there be a more boring matchup in the WS this year? All that build up with the Cubs and Sox and we get this... Sigh... What a let down. Yankees in 6...

Fa shizzle. Talk about the worst possible case scenario. The only people that will be watching are people from New York and both marlins fans. What a letdown.

Yankees in 5, but perhaps they sweep in 4. The marlins could just barely squeak past the Cubs, and our pitching was nowhere near as good as the Yanks in that series. And now they made Giambi go all Bruce Banner by putting him 7th in the order. YOU MAKE GIAMBI ANGRY, GIAMBI SMASH!!! Hence the two bombs last night...

26 world championships, and now the 27th in a week. When will Steinbrenner die, all expansion teams be contracted, and baseball return to its proper course??? Whhhhheeeeeeeennnnnnnn?!?!?!?!

And for those of you that find baseball boring... go drink your sunny D. Not everything has to be 22 hyperactive midgets chasing a small inflated skin around a field and scoring once a game. Nor 10 guys that are in their sport because they are very tall scoring every 10 seconds with pathetically easy slam dunks. Nor 22 guys that are in their sport because they are very fat and are moving the ball for an average of 3 yards and scoring maybe 1 touchdown and endless retarded free kicks. Nor 12 guys chasing a black piece of plastic around a frozen pond and scoring maybe 2 times a game and mostly just punching each other while trying to keep from falling over and looking like a retarded clowns. Nor 2 chicks hitting a ball back and forth and back and forth and back and forth in an endless repetition that gives normal people a seisure just to look at it.

    Not that I am bitter.

What about a game where it's organized warfare...I mean Field Hockey. They get big sticks, they run and it's a fun sport, too bad only for Ladies teams in the US right now.

I didn't say it's fun as a girls sport. In europe guys apparently play it. Imagine the violence of rugby, with big wooden sticks. *Does an orcish scream and chases down the person who tapped his shin with the stick*

    What about foxy boxing?

Yep. The World Series is turning into a real yawner. The only consolation that Sox and Cubs fans have is that ratings are going to plummet from their highs.

HAHA ness as I said in the MIRC even the marlins won with that 8 scores in a inning and yankees could do something like it!!! And lucky for posada he hit a SHALLOW infield which should have been a little single but was a double.

    Yankees = Pwnage team

Aaron = My hero in the 11th

    Onto the world series!

Not sure I follow you. All pro athletes are overpaid, so you choose baseball to dislike? Their average salaries are WAY less than then NBA for example.

Good call BM. And considering how much I loathe and despise Fox and their australian whoremaster Rupert Murdoch, let them eat cake. If I could legally kill one person on this earth, it would be fox announcer Thom Brennamen. He simply cannot bear to go 5 seconds without hearing the sound of his own sanctimonius moronic voice. He is the embodiment of all that is wrong and evil with sports broadcasting, and should be killed by having someone play the audio from one of his own games at 85 bajillion decibels so that his organs explode, and he dies slowly from his own nitwit platitudes in a delicious twist of irony. Also, he could be shot.

    I spit on him. Ptooh!

    Yep. I worded it wrong....

I think its unfortunate that they're all overpaid...immensly, and that a lot of players only play for the cash...

Although if it wasn't like that baseball would be my favorite sport....I should've spent more time thinking it out before posting, whomps.

Understood. And I agree. Look at the NHL - that league is about to have a player lockout due to salary demands which will probably mean the end of the league as we know it. They are $2.5 billion in the hole, and a bunch of nitwit snaggle toothed "hawww-keee" players think that their millions are more important than their jobs. Add in overexpansion and apathetic fans and the NHL is going bye-bye back to canada. Where it frankly belongs - sorry canada, but your sport is less popular than NASCAR right now. Which means that people find that cars going around and around in a continous left hand turn for 3 hours is more exciting than your sport. Dig it.

I love hockey (though baseball is still my first passion) but I have to agree with Monse *shudders*. The pending lockout will kill the game. That's why Patrick Roy, one of the greatest goalies ever, retired. He didn't wanna leave with the lockout but rather on top at the end of a good season. The freaking players and owners are both too stupid to realize that the end of the sport as we know it is upon us unless they change their attitudes soon.

But baseball is little better off. Their new contract really did nothing to deal with the fundamental problem with the game. Their is still way too big a disparity in the payrolls of the good teams vs the payrolls of the bad. Plus, many teams don't have the income to put out a real team. Contraction is needed despite how horrifically unpopular it is. Plus a payroll cap and more revenue sharing are needed to re-balance the game so it isn't the same teams playing in October every year.
