<div class="IPBDescription">The Crappiest Band ever....</div> I just heard a song from these guys. My God, I thought record producers tried to release GOOD music that will SELL.

I espicially hate the guitar.. Everytime that guitarist strums a chord, poor Jimi Hendrix must roll over in his grave.

What ever happened to REAL bands. Like AC/DC, Guns and Roses, CCR, and The Ramones?!?!!?!?

edit: Forgot to mention Rage against the Machine. They were cool.

    Everything is about money these days. It's kinda sad.

    It always was about money, but now they have more control. And 'before', they could only get money through releasing good 'products'. Now they can get away with anything because kids are so damned stupid.

    edit: I don't even realise I'm making these typos anymore <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I agree with Lukin. I don't even listen to the "hit" radio stations anymore because it's all c<b><i>RAP</i></b>. I wanna know why rock music has gone so far downhill since the 70s.

    There is some light, there are cool bands like System of a Down, and The Offspring, but still, for every good band, there is 5 rappers.....

    Theres a really cool album, "Tribute to the Ramones" kinda thing, with artists ranging from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Rob Zombie to Rancid to Offspring to Manson... Very very cool album. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Hell On Earth? Isn't that the band that "Helped someone commit suicide on stage" and are planning to do it "again" at their next show?

    I've not actually listened to them, just read about all the controversy. But to be honest, coming from the black metal scene myself, murder associated with music and so on isn't exactly shocking anymore. =/

    Some other good bands: Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, the latest Cash album, hard to find but its fantastic, Jet, its an aussie band, very good.

    I like a mix of music: Disturbed(Bwaa!), Korn, Metallica, 80's/90's rock(Ac/Dc etc), System of a Down(Only hate one song which is that Bomb one, can't remember its name and the first 6 tracks on there 2nd album).

    So basicly im into rock, heavy metal etc etc

    System of a down all the way baby! And the song would be BOOM! which only became popular now due to the Gulf War 2 but it existed before that <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
    I love soad...

    The lead singer Serj Tankian put up his own record company called Serjical Records, and their biggest newcomer is a band called Serart which is pretty neato (nothing you'd expect for sure), and they actually gave out all the songs in mp3 format during the first weeks of the Serarts official site, now they're removed tho. It's selling well.

    More info in his interview <a href='http://www.nyrock.com/interviews/2003/serj_int.asp' target='_blank'>here</a> <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    RATM was not cool. It was just some background music and the "rebel" screaming random words over and over. If it was an attempt to educate or do something, it failed.

    Guns and roses, AC/DC all sucked too. Sorry, it's true.

    Somewhat offtopic:

    Time for me to brag to all the people coming here that like Evanescence. I got a VERY RARE copy of an album of stuff recorded from them, most of it is from when Amy Lee was in high school (no its not origin, its before that.) So neener neener.

    Pfft, there are some great semi-poular rock bands that are still out there.

    At The Drive-In (Best band out there filled with talent and originality it was too good to last)
    The Mars Volta
    Sparta
    Finch
    Rancid

    ;D
