anybody seen Sweet November (the keanu and charlize one)? that is.. ridiculously sad. i just wanted to kill myself, very slowly, painfully, and quietly... so that i could hear the soft murmurs of my anguish as i passed away.
edit: lol.. people hate me for it, but i gotta say it.
i didn't cry during bambi... the first time i saw the movie, i sneezed when the shot rang out.

Made me Sad: Losing Dogmeat in Fallout, it was inevitable....
There was a movie recently I saw that made me cry my heart out, which felt really good actually. I had a lot of stress in my life at the time. I have no idea what the movie was called, but it had a general who was court martialed for disobeying orders and sent to a military prison... said prison being run by a sadistic ****. The general organizes the inmates, gives them selfworth again, takes over the prison facility in a mastermind of tactics and strategy, and then the movie ends with the one of the most touching things I have ever seen...
Anyone able to name the movie? I'd really like to be able to see it again someday... show it to other people... that sort of thing. Great movie all around but the ending just shattered me.
As far as video games? Only one game has made me cry, and that's Chrono Cross. When Sergei rescues Kid from the nightmare. Those tears were simultaneously sad and happy at the same time... mourning and rejoycing. Such a great game. The whole thing was amazing... oh, people complain about too many characters, but since you never had to worry about leveling them up, you could treat all but the main ones as supporting cast... and any book/movie/game could easily have that many supporting cast members who play bit parts. It's just that in CC, when you come across a bit part, you get an extra playing peice to use when planning battles. But I digress.
EDIT: oh and in half-life, playing the first time, conservering ammo (i like for my shots to count) for the fight with the big boss, and getting all the weapons... only to be caputered and all the guns taken away.... almost quit playing becuase of that... I mean come on!!!! I didnt use one nade!

Pretty much any decent war movie - Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, We Were Soldiers.
And then any movie that uses Enya to humiliate me infront of my friends - Lord of the Rings, Gladiator etc.
Ryo, dont feel sorry for the Elves at Helm's Deep, THEY WERENT THERE darnit!!!! They didnt give a flying **** about the humans, it wasnt in the book ARRGHHHH!!!! No elves died at helms deep, Legolas was their sole representative, and he came out with a roughly 30:0 K/D ratio.

Note i didnt cry at any of these, but these are sad films.
-The Thin Red Line: When the main character finally gets surrounded and shot. -Full Metal Jacket: When Cowboy and Eight Ball die. -Band of Brothers: Officers lose their men, Wives lose their husbands, Parents lose their sons, Sons lose their fathers. -Saving Private Ryan: See above.
-Jake and Silent Bob Strikes Back: It was so bad, I cried. -Kong Pow Enter the Fist: See above. -Space Ball: See above
And E.E? I don't even remember her dying (and I only recently played through the game). I however do remember the part where she ges stabbed. I just can't seem to recall her death. Oops
But the number one touching movie that I've ever seen was Braveheart. The loss of his former life, the betrayal, his beheading...it all culminated into one of the most powerful movie experiences that I've ever seen.
Notable others include perhaps The Matrix, the first time I saw it. Seeing Neo take a dozen deagle bullets in the chest hurt. Not Crying-hurt, but it hurt. OF course, this was before I knew anything about the series, and that there would be a sequel at all.
Otherwise....meh.
