what about the power armour? you know the glowy stuff that made the marines look like storm troopers. Is that still in or was it a placeholder until the heavy armour model was finished?

When and how will it look when standard marine change to heavy marine? Will you be able to choose from diff skins before (in readyroom) and then suffer from lower speed but higher armor if you choose heavy, or will there just be a "oh look, heavy armor, POP mwahahahah" and you just become this EvIL minded marine badass monkey?
Also, the flyer? Does the model change size when flying i.e he needs more room, or does he simply flap his wings THROUGH any walls that are too close togheter?
When flyer is turning, does he sortof..lean to one side? =)
Is there a damage modell for either side? I mean, if health is below 25%, the modell sustain some sort of added sprite = looks damaged or something similair?

Anyways, the readyroom is strictly for chatting and choosing a side in the game. When you join a game, you start there, period. I doubt there will be an animation to change suits. Too much of a hassle. Heavy armour is something you have to reasearch, along with the rest of everything else. Except for the knife, pistol, and LMG of course. It will also be someting(from what I've heard) that one can drop, then be picked up again. I'm hearing it's at the tip top of the tech tree(say that three times fast). Phew...

I seriously doubt this. One, it's already feature complete(heh, then they added this), two, It would lag more. They want to try to avoid lag. The dev team wants gameplay more than realism. Same thing for hitboxes, there are no hit specific damage places.

Other Note: When Flay will add the laser feature, how come there isn't a laser thing sticking out of the heavy armour marine model?
Sweet! The level 3 looks great! And ppl were talking about that the mod would not be there for realistic causes, well I haven't seen so realistic animation in ANY other mod! And the heavy marine rocks big time!
I KNEW THE EVIL TEAM HAD AN IDEA FOR HEAVY ARMOUR ALL THE WHILE. i knew even as a newbie that they HAD that glowing snazzy effect as placeholder >:] HEHEhe

I think from what MonsE has said on this thread that Power Armour and Heavy Armour are two different things.
I think Power Armour is an upgrade and applies to all Marines whereas heavy Armour is an armour pack that commander drops, and only one marine can pick up at a time.

I think heavy armor and power armor are seperate. My guess is that heavy armory is the answer to the level 5, so it will have a similar (maybe a bit lower cause it excludes weaponry) cost. I also think it will be dropped by the commander. If we remove power armor alltogether, we get big balance issues, cause not everyone gets these suits of armor (unless they do, but I think it would be cooler to have 1 or 2 at a time and have the other marines stick by him, definitely encourages teamwork). I dont think power armor is a placeholder, I think it looks fine. Bear in mind that my guesses are as good as anybodys.
EDIT: WOW, you guys beat me to it.
Regarding the helmet: I like it. The helmet of the original marine model always kind of reminded me of a Legionairre's helmet. The helmet of the heavy armor looks like that of a medieval knight. Very cool. I get so tired of modelers putting in cheasily high tech bubble dome fronts and stuff. Ns has always had it's own unique style of art, and this is very much in keepign with it, I loove it.

Do you have an example of the Dark Angels insignia so that we can compare them side by side? I can tell you right now that they are not the same (the DA is a winged skull if I recall), and any similarities are purely coincidental. I am fairly sure Cory wouldn't know WH40K if it bit him on the bum.
