I was on irc last night at #hamburg, checking it and seeing everyone pointing fingers and accusing a guy outright of cheating. A former clanmate, who I known from a long time, cheating? Even demos were posted and links given, and it revealed nothing.
Cheating / Scripting / Whatever may be kind of ruining the community somewhat, but it isnt to a full extent. It happens on CS too, but CS had VAC, Punkbuster, WWCL, CD, and other programs to help combat it. CS is thriving, gets more players all the time, and is actually fun to play even if you are in a pub. Most cs pubs > ns pubs. There I can go and worry about my skill, instead of going to a supposed great server in NS (Xzilens, OSS, the rest and see ignorant unskilled people who care not enough to play the game and hone their skills, but all they do is whine and vote kick the second you may get lucky or beat them with hard earned skills.
It isnt only the community itself, but the CLANS. YES, you. Sometimes I cant stand it, and cant understand why do you do this. Outrightly accusing yumosis of cheating and downright putting down #cri in a channel thats not their own? Stabbing them in the back?
You cant expect the clan scene to thrive and grow when you got a bunch of dramaqueens that want to create conflict and divide. Why cant we be together in harmony and be happy like most of the top tier cs clans, or most of the cs clan scene. Yeah, they may be idiots, but at least they put on their game face and play the freaking game, and the sheer size of that community makes it easy for the problems to be done over with since its on small scale relative to the whole size of the community itself.
Why is it that some clans / players are so kissed up? Everyone loves HAM, dn, and whatever the rest of the clans here. Yeah, shampoo is a skilled player, but certainly not the best. You ever seen him play? Most of the time he wins by 1.) Baiting 2.) Superior Weapon / Unit vs Lower Scale Unit / Weapon (Hi Onos vs Stock marine) 3.) Beating up unskilled players. I am sure he will meet his match soon, very soon.
Have you seen the dark side of this community? Seen the so-called nice people use you as a scapegoat and use mob mentality? Have ignorance and dont even give you the right to be innocent until proven guilty?
The worst fault you could have is being ignorant. How do you expect it to grow when all you do is put down other persons, and carry on your high horses and elitist atitudes when frankly (I may be the only believer in this), great skill you dont even have. Using the "CAPSLOCKED WORDS WITH FOOD BETWEEN" tag doesnt make someone better than you. Try to get to know them, then you will see what I mean.
The happy thing is, that its only turning worse every day. When you got such arrogant **** as veterans (except few >:) ), a buggy game (Whaddup Faulty or Missing hitboxes in all the player models), no anti-cheating measures taken by CAL (Hey, you can watch the demos, but without a program that will detect the cheat, you could be wrong about your judgement, since you are human, thus propense to err.)
So, heres a prop to the Grand NS community, full of such lovable people >:).

With great power comes great responsibility and the HAMs have definetly failed us in terms of responsibility.
Something from an IRC log struck me as amusing:

HAMBONE himself told me that we shouldn't listen to the accusations and we should have brought cristian back into our clan. HAMBONE told me that he didn't believe cristian hacked.
Its pretty amusing to me that shampoo is trying to suggest cristian hacked. I contend that cristian never hacked and this has all along been just one excuse after another to bring down cri.
You can be sure I'll have an official response to all of this nonsense soon. Please dont' be quick to judge cri. You may not have all the facts.
That is being clever, to be honest. If i was a hive 1 skulk, i wouldn't expect to take down a HA train, just as if i was a stock marine i wouldn't expect to take down an Onos on my own. From what you say, he asesses the situation and attacks based on his chances of victory. While it may sound unfair to the person getting pwned, it is a sensible and smart course of action.

No one is trying to bring down cri. Not one of us. Infact the only reason we ever didnt want to make our opinion of mosis public is because it could infact bring down yet another vet clan. We don't want that. But we also can't sit idly by while someone hacks. It's not fair. It's not because he's a threat to us, we played you and we can still beat you with him. But it's not fair to other clans that they have to play with a wallhacker because we have to stay hush hush about it so as to avert drama.
Its admirable you are standing up your friend, but it changes nothing. Mob mentality? There has been tons of talk about your guy long before we ever made our opinion clear, and we only did so after we had indisputible facts. We're only handling it as poorly as anyone else, including you.

heres a protip: its not the societies fault if someone doesn't fit in. Stop blaming other people and admit to your own faults and maybe then you'll be welcomed. Also, stop making your jealousy towards shampoo so blatant. The guy did nothing to you and yet you take every opportunity to say how he isnt good or is nothing special simply because he's become something you sold yourself out for with exploits to become: a good player. Even then you weren't good enough. Sorry man, it must be terrible having to live in the shadow of actually good players, but grow up.
I for one am sorry this is causing so much drama. There needs to be better ways of catching cheaters so theres no question. However my opinion and the opinions of well over half the community have not changed about your player. Say what you want but I cant blame them finding us to be an unbiased and credible source

To make a long story short you are the root of i would probably say 25% of all drama in the clan scene, no one is attacking you OR your clan they are simply attack mosis (who many people have had many suspicions about in the past) so why dont you let him defend himself instead of making this YOUR issue because it is not. I'm sorry if this offends you but sorry we dont like cheaters.
