Luckilly this is ns and most people try to uphold their honor among the community. CS on the other hand is full of cheaters. The community is so big that no one really knows eachother so everyone feels like they can hack because it isn't gonna affect them in the long run. I have seen cheaters in ns a couple of times, but it isn't anything to worry about.

While I'm not one that condones accusations of hacking, I don't mind if simply ask "are there hacks out there" or "this is my situation, is it possible the guy was a hacker" backed up with some proof. This however is not the case.
I don't appreciate the fact that a clan was mentioned, while no names were mentioned. For the record, I played eXa last night in a CAL match, as well as have played with their players before. I find nothing wrong with them and they were a great team to play.
Unfortunately, it is quite possible to just be able to walk into a server and mow down skulks with a good amount of teamwork and skill in shooting. Commanders keep a marine alive with meds and ammo'd up, and it can sometimes feel like they've lived forever. I've done it, I've seen other clanners as well as pubbers do it, and it's something that could be better countered by alien teams by perhaps building upgrade chambers faster or avoiding attacking on long hallways or in insecure positions.

    I'm locking this thread because
    1) Unfounded accusations of hacking are not acceptable. If you've got demos or screenshots, that's a start. Unfortunately, I can't prove to anyone but myself who is hacking and who isn't just a good player. And by no means should you assume the NS community has the expertise to know for sure if someone is using some kind of hacks.

The last time I played a game of counterstrike, I jumped on a random server where a guy was doing a decent job of awping the opposing team on the long tunnel on dust. The entire time, I had a 10 year old boy screaming into the mic about how he was going to get the person banned from the server for hacking, simply because the guy could shoot. This 10 year old would have swore up and down he had a hacker in his midst, but I think after seeing questionable activity we are all like him and a little more eager to accuse. Just think objectively whenever you play, as it's quite possible you've got a good player on your server. I don't want this community turning into the CS community.

    2) Defaming anyone's name by accusations of hacking is also unacceptable. Whether it's a player, a clan, or a server admin. Take it to them, not to the NS forums.

    3) I think a lot of us get eager for witch hunts on hackers. If you've got a problem, take it up with your server admin, as it's not really something that anyone here can do except praise your talented skills at sniffing out hackers. Trying to blacklist a person isn't acceptable under any circumstance as we don't all share the same credentials or expertise.
On that note, I hope you understand the reasoning why this stuff can get so out of hand, and I will therefore lock the thread.
